This newly discovered bacterium shares genetic similarities with Niallia circulans, a terrestrial soil bacterium known for its exceptional resilience. However, the space-adapted variant demonstrates unique characteristics that set it apart from its earthbound relatives. The discovery parallels other groundbreaking findings, such as when archaeologists make incredible discoveries after opening rooms sealed for centuries, revealing how isolation creates unique conditions for development.

You have to ask yourself, why are the Chinese conducting such research, I find it hard to believe it's for benevolent purposes, they don't do anything that has no benefit to themselves either thru enriching the CCP or harming the USA.

The kind of research they do - making things more virulent - is anything but benevolent, that's for sure.
