Is it Time to Invoke the Insurrection Act?
American Thinker ^ | 11 Oct, 2025 | Scott S. Powell

Properly executed, the Insurrection Act can bring a quicker end to hostilities and reduce property destruction, injury, and loss of life from what can ensue from lesser measures.

We should never allow the complexity of America’s contemporary problems to confuse, discourage, or overwhelm us. Correcting our present course and charting our way forward is best achieved by aligning our approach and policies with timeless wisdom and principles understood and codified by the Founding Fathers. It turns out that the Constitution provides the framework, specifically the Article II, Section 2, and supremacy clause of Article 6, to put down the current city and state rebellions in California, Oregon, Illinois, and some 12 other states claiming “sanctuary” status.

Another powerful source of wisdom and insight into our contemporary problems is George Washington’s Farewell Address of 1797. Here we find Washington uniquely prescient in five critical areas that are now the bane of our contemporary problems:

- The likelihood that the people would fail to be adequately informed and educated to discern the truth and fulfill the duties and responsibility of citizenship.

- The rise of political parties and hyperpartisan factionalism that would lead to "cunning, ambitious, and unprincipled men" manipulating public opinion, fostering discord, and prioritizing party loyalty over the common good.

- The erosion of checks and balances through usurpation of power by one of the three branches of government, notably the judicial branch

- Foreign entanglements that provide avenues for domestic factions to become aligned with foreign powers

- The decline of morality and religion, notably Christianity, deemed essential to maintaining civility, public virtue, individual freedom, and the free governance of a constitutional republic.

Washington cautioned that excessive partisanship could lead to political parties or groups with diametrically opposed interests -- prioritizing their own agendas over the common good,

Yes, that last sentence up there says it all. It’s amazing how smart the Forefathers were. Washington’s five points nailed it.

No, it is time for Martial Law and let the military where there is a strong Iron Will, to ensure that the two political party’s behave as partners and not a nation at war.

It’s been time for the Insurrection act for a long time now. The left are a bunch of screaming rioters. Lock them all up and the rat elitists who incite them.

We are past the time for this step.

However, unless Trump and his administration sets the bar for using insurrection act SO DAMN HIGH, we will see the next Dem controlled administration use it at the drop of a hat. Aka, Jan 6 crap we saw.

Trump administration needs very very specific details on how the current city and state rebellions in California, Oregon, Illinois, and some 12 other states claiming “sanctuary” status are in fact an open insurrection.

THEN present that before SCOTUS for legal read. With enough “facts” the Libs won’t be able to stop it. Bypass Congress, Screw Them!!!

Guaranteed as I sit here and write this, the Dems are salivating at their chance to do this very thing to us. Know your enemy, know yourself and make sure to agitate the ENEMY every chance you get. It’s just fun watching them self destruct.

Tough talk but going back to history in the 50’s and 60’s the military had bayonets that hurt people not to mention live bullets dealing with segregationists or dealing with race riots.

Is this just an attempt to provoke others to violence?

Is China getting us fighting each other?

When news of the insurrection Act, COG, PEADs are invoked, all it will be is a revealing of what happened long before then.

We’re in an information 5th Gen war, with the news as an enemy combatant. At some point we’ll be told these tools have been invoked by the eneMedia, but will be long after, even after the battles are won.

The rioters are paid well by foreign enemies. If they submit video of themselves showing their “fight”, they get bonused.

Ideology is not fueling this behavior alone.

Consequences will put an end to it.

Time for law enforcement to start using live rounds?

To presume that like minded people with agendas that require governmental action should not band together to act is naivete.

To beware of foreign entanglements is for Washington to lose the battle of York Town that was won simply because of the American “entanglement” with Fance

What do Washington, Lincoln, Hayes, Eisenhower, Kennedy and Johnson have in common besides being Presidents? Answer: They all sent Federal forces to uphold court rulings and congressional laws.

$$$$$$$$

Follow the money.

There are plenty of people pissed about the slow progress against the Obama insurrectionists………

The people finding the thugs on the street are far more dangerous and need to be exposed and stopped.

We should be concerned that the actions of the Mayor of Portland, Jaba the Hut Pritzker or even Tampon Tin Walz are to push open rebellion against Trumps “tyranny”. It would be a great act of political theater to have them arrested and being shown on the lame stream media being handcuffed and lead off by federal marshals. They would become poster boys for the left and of course the sycophant media would play up how democracy is dying before your eyes as duly elected officials are put in chains. Better to let their states and cities rot under the weight of illegals without federal funds. General William T Sherman famously said his march to the sea was to “make Georgia howl”. Perhaps Trump should pull all federal funds from these states and cities and make their residents howl.

Won’t that negate any insurance coverage for property damaged by the rioters?

In "regular" insurrections, yes.

In one involving the deep state that tentacalized the entire society/system, in an informational and even spiritual war, new 5th generational tactics are appropriate.

Roll Insurrection Act, PEADs and COG, in the proper Constitutional order, over the course of at least 8 years if not decades. That's what's happening, ergo you won't have confirmation of the insurrection act till the war is won.

The timing of us knowing is part of warfare.
