A WEALTHY pro-Putin politician was found hanging from a tree with his hands bound, while an ex transport boss was found dead at a five star hotel.
These are the latest in a spate of mysterious high-profile deaths across Russia, with some of the victims known to be under the eye of the fearsome FSB.
Vitaly Kapustin, 43, a construction company boss and regional MP, was found swinging 20ft up from a tree branch with tightly bound hands.
Witnesses who spotted him from a highway called the police, and expressed strong doubts he had taken his own life.
One said: “I saw how high up he was. His hands seemed to be tied behind his back.
“A person wouldn’t just climb up there easily, the trees are very tall.”
An investigation has been launched into the death of the millionaire MP who was a member of the staunchly pro-Putin United Russia party.
This is the third suspicious death this week.
A transport boss, Alexander Fedotov, 49, was found dead at a five star hotel in Moscow.
His body was found outside the five-star Skypoint Luxe hotel at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo international airport.
Fedotov had been staying there on a business trip, and was in a "high floor" room in the hotel, according to reports.
A criminal investigation is underway into his death, and no suicide note was found.
Fedotov had suddenly quit as transport chief for St Petersburg just last year.
It came amid reports of a probe by the FSB, Russia’s feared counterintelligence service.
Vladimir Putin’s transport minister Roman Starovoit, 53, died the same day he was fired by the Russian tyrant in July.
Fedotov had been linked to Starovoit, whose death remains highly suspicious to many observers.

The FReepathon still needs about $11K to meet its Q3 goal with only a few days left. C’mon and help out, if you haven’t already.

NO, IT’S NOT SUICIDE! There are reports he was using a rope to help climb the tree to pick apples for his grandkids. Some how or another he mysteriously got entangled into the rope, slipped and fell.
Let’s face it, accidents like this always do happen in Russia. Especially when drunks fall out of windows several stories high or when airplanes mysteriously crash.
Seriously, I recall several years ago a guy was found shot twice in the back of his head and it was labeled suicide.
The Kremlin flu is a mean ailment.
So, in his age, Ol’Vladimir is stepping in Ivan the Terrible’s shoes!

Russians are soooo skeptical...................
Question hildabeast.
Yep, suicides.
That right there is some old school KGB!
Kapustin appears to be a victim of Judge Lynchsky. Fedotov on the other hand may have caught an Air Putin flight.
Gee... that’s a shame.
He obviously crossed Putin or his cronies in some way. When they can’t get them on phony “corruption” charges, they eliminate them. It is a hallmark of Putin’s reign.
Life insurance premiums at the Kremlin must be exorbitant.
So often this is my observation about his enthusiasm to show headline titles. We know some Freepers don't read through articles and even threads, before commenting too. I suppose those are his targeted audience. Just a guess, but....
I vote 100 \percent with your highlighted text as above.

When I worked in Moscow, I saw much of this. If a “ businessman “, or someone tied to a business was hit, it was always the Russian mafia.
If you don’t pay them their agreed upon price to operate, you usually are given a “ chance” to pay up after a visit ( the visits used electric cattle shock devices, blow torches, brass knuckles)….but in the event of big money, a Makarov bullet to the back of your head while peeing in a public urinal.
That said, one of my co-workers who quit the Moscow job, was visited at his home in the US to “ pay up” some debt owed. He had to fly back to Moscow ( on his dime) and pay up personally….he wasn’t in good shape.
My thoughts, exactly.
“”””Vitaly Kapustin, 43, a construction company boss and regional MP, was found swinging 20ft up from a tree branch with tightly bound hands.””””
So was the body 20 feet up?
Or was the branch 20 feet up?
As the old saying goes: “A picture is worth 10,000 words from media.”
Russia is competing with Germany for suspicious political deaths. Russia has had 3 suspicious political deaths this year and Germany has had 7. The USA has had 3 known political assassinations so far.
