Political commentator Tucker Carlson landed in hot water after his speech during the memorial service of American political activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated on Sept. 10 during a speech at Utah Valley University by the 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.
-snip-
Tucker Carlson, the Former Fox News television personality, was blasted all over social media and accused of antisemitism after his speech in which he likened the story of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at the hands of jews to the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Carlson said that both Jesus and Kirk were killed for telling the truth. In the statement, he said, "I can just sort of picture the scene in a lamp-lit room with a bunch of guys sitting around eating hummus, thinking about, ‘What do we do about this guy telling the truth about us?' We must make him stop talking."
He added, "And there's always one guy with a bright idea, I can just hear him say, 'I've got an idea, why don't we just kill him?'"

Yeah and your buddy Amir is pushing the lie that Tucker’s blaming the Jews. Read the top of the freaking post
Soy Lattes?
He should have said, “sitting around eating buttered sausage and Chef Boy-R-Dee alphabet soup.”
From that tweet thread:
“It seems like Erika Kirk does believe it now. At first she spoke of ‘they”, but during the memorial she spoke of the ‘young man’.”
Do you disagree with Charlie Kirk’s widow?
Charlie Kirk told the truth about his enemies and his enemies killed him for it.
That was the point of Tucker Carlson's remarks.
Lol!
He should have said, “sitting around eating S’Mores and cinnamon toast.”
(cocks head oddly)
....no.... not YET.....
> a bunch of guys sitting around eating hummus <
It’s not the exact wording that bothers me. It’s the overall vagueness of it. Just what is Carlson‘s point here?
I’m not sure. And evidently I’m not alone in that.
Bottom line: At a minimum, it was a very stupid comment.
I have no opinion. I thought it was strange that FBI came out and said three conspiracy theories may be true
It doesn’t matter what I think. Reporters are reporting on what people there think.
His creepy giggle during his speech was enough for me to get up and go to the bathroom during it:
There is something wrong with him, and I get the “ick” watching him.
I don’t know what the “ick”’is, but it’s the same feeling when I see Gavin Newsome or Mitt Romney.
I'll be serious for a change.
Tucker mistook the venue. This was not one of his show opens, where he can make smartass remarks and chuckle about them. This was a solemn moment, and Tucker failed in part.
More than 50% was good, though, since Tucker hammered the Gospel and spoke of Christ well.
He thought he was on his show, is all.
I do appreciate his comments about Christ, though.
Today, Tyler Robinson is the only person charged in the murder of Charlie.
Who actually killed Jesus? Read Psalms 22. Christ quoted it on the cross.. i am Christian and follow Christ.. I will let Him answer your question..
“Kirk was assassinated by a campus and internet radicalized faggot and Tucker knows it.”
The shooter did it to protect the one he loved. Yeah, right. That was the weirdest explanation the left could have come up with.
So the Romans who nailed Jesus to the cross didn’t kill him? Well, I guess Tyler Robinson should use that as his defense. It’s The Lord who did it
You missed the point of my post....Pontius Pilate was Roman. Judea was under Roman occupation, part of the Roman Empire, hence the spaghetti reference.
Or eating Skittles and drinking Arizona Watermelon Cooler and Robituss ... uh ... no ... wait ... maybe not.
I certainly get your point Laz, and it is true. He could have said sitting around a dinner table, eating. I think Tucker was describing a scene as if it was part of "The Chosen". I don't dispute there may be ill intent. I just don't think there was.
But spaghetti hadn't been invented yet!
All I can truly say is that Tucker Carlson is weird.
Of course, so am I, so who am I to judge.
