Political commentator Tucker Carlson landed in hot water after his speech during the memorial service of American political activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated on Sept. 10 during a speech at Utah Valley University by the 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.
-snip-
Tucker Carlson, the Former Fox News television personality, was blasted all over social media and accused of antisemitism after his speech in which he likened the story of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ at the hands of jews to the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
Carlson said that both Jesus and Kirk were killed for telling the truth. In the statement, he said, "I can just sort of picture the scene in a lamp-lit room with a bunch of guys sitting around eating hummus, thinking about, ‘What do we do about this guy telling the truth about us?' We must make him stop talking."
He added, "And there's always one guy with a bright idea, I can just hear him say, 'I've got an idea, why don't we just kill him?'"

According to many people Jews were trying to shut Charlie up
tucker Carlson. Matt gaetz. Megyn Kelly. Roger stone . Rabbi wolicki. People here blasted tucker for it but Erika Kirk clearly did not
I am not saying Jews are responsible for his death . I am saying they relentlessly hounded him until the day he died
So the comparison is not lost
Laura loomer trying to act like she didn’t blast charlie before his death
When is FR going to get a “Block Troll” button?
You are right, it was the Sadducees.
I saw many Jews attack Charlie for what seemed to be no reason.
I saw many people from all walks of life attack him because of his faith in God and his belief in America.
We are the same. We are also attacked relentlessly everywhere; in our jobs, social media, in stores, by businesses, by the government, by religious leaders, by family, by each other, by everyone.
From the Gospels it doesn’t seem that the Romans were paying much attention to Jesus, or that he was encouraging violence against the Romans. The Jewish leaders had to portray him to Pilate as a threat to Roman rule. Crucifixion was a Roman method of execution. Why didn’t the Jewish leaders try to have Jesus stoned to death like they later did to Stephen? Probably they didn’t think they could get a crowd to do it.
Jesus went to the cross willingly to be the atonement for all of our sins.

Spot on.
No one killed Christ.
Not Jews
Not Romans
Not hummus eaters
No one
Jhn 10:17 - “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again.
Jhn 10:18 -...
“No one ..
takes it from Me,
.....but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from My Father.
Tuck just couldn’t help himself could he? He had to weasel the evil in . Wildly inappropriate thing for him to say.
He could have conveyed the concept in a hundred different ways.
Maybe say, “Charlie, like his Savior Jesus, was willing to risk his own life to reach others with truth and the Gospel.”
But he didn’t say that , or any other edifying sentace, but no.
He chose “hummus eaters “
Correct. Pasta wasn’t a thing in Italy until 800AD and really didn’t catch on u til the 1200s.
Off by about 1000 years.
“ You have to understand that Christianity is naturally anti-Semitic in nature so it’s completely expected that he would say something like this. There are plenty of stories in the Christian’s NT that cast Jews in a negative light”
Baloney. As to the first statement, it’s 100% wrong.
As to the second statement, yes, absolutely there are bad Jews in the NT. Plenty of bad Jews in the OT, too.
Where antisemites go wrong is they apply the criticism of some Jews onto all Jews. The Pharisees, in particular, were heretics pretending to be pious. This would be like calling all Catholics evil because Joe Biden and Nancy a Pelosi are evil. Or Baptists because Carter and Clinton were/are evil.
For the record, Jesus was not killed for speaking the truth. Jesus was not killed by hummus eaters, he was killed by the Romans. Charlie Kirk was a great conservative but he was not Jesus and he was not a Saint either. But he was like many of us a good father, husband and a devout Christian. He was just a man, not the son of God. Comparing Kirk to Christ is the kind of BS Carlson spews these days.
Christs death was a foregone conclusion the day he was born. Pilate was known for excessive cruelty and was sanitized by the Roman Catholic Church to shift blame from the Romans. Jesus was killed by Rome because he was seen as an agitator. Did the Sanhedrin turn him in to the Romans, possibly. It could just as easily been Herod and his spies. Kirk was seen as an agitator by some, but he was not killed by the government. What is Kirk, he is this generations Bobby Kennedy, he is not Christ and cannot be compared to him in any way.
The flax is heaviest when the target presents itself. Carlson has been seen for what he is. He has presented himself as a shill and frankly is a legitimate target for his antisemitic remarks. I only watched Erika Kirk's and Trump's speech on social media because Carlson was a speaker at the ceremony. For the record, I am not Jewish but as a Christian I try to educate myself beyond what is preached. That is something the old Carlson would have encouraged.
Yeah...that was a whole other issue. Just as inappropriate.
Thanks Laz!
Thought the hummus line was strange and the weird laugh. Secular humanists should not try to act Christian.
Really, I killed him, you stupid moron
You know NOTHINF and have NOTHING of the faith Charlie had. Will pray that you do.
Ultimately neither the Romans nor the Jews killed Jesus. He gave His life voluntarily as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of the human race, so that those who call upon His name and come to a saving knowledge of Christ will be saved because of His sacrifice on the Cross. Jesus told Pilate in John 19:11 (ESV): “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above.” Jesus further stated in John 10:18 (ESV): “No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”
I wouldn’t have delivered that passage that way, with the laugh at the end. It was a little hard to hear, and a little too flippant. I watched the entire 5 hour service. Good to hear so many speakers, including Tucker, put Jesus front and center. Just didn’t care for that little piece
Of course you didn’t.
Comparing the death of Kirk to the death of Jesus was offensive enough. Apart from the “Son of God” thing, Jesus was arrested, tried and sentenced to death. Kirk was murdered by a homosexual trans-activist. Not in any way comparable under any circumstance.
If Tucker didn’t continually act as if he is on the payroll of Qatar, and didn’t praise Sharia Law, I might give him a pass. But since he never passes up a chance to attack the Joos and promote Islam...
Exactly. Who laughs like that at a funeral?
Jews are not allowed to kill, especially on passover so they had to have the Gentiles do it.
