This video is going to make you lose your mind.
A home run ball was hit into the stands at a Phillies game last night and a dad was able to snag the ball for his son before this lady who dropped the catch was able to grab it off the ground.
What happened next was wild.
Dad obviously didn't just snag the ball out of her hand. He grabbed it off the ground while they were both there simultaneously after she dropped the catch. He also gave the ball to his son. The rules of fandom clearly state that's his ball.
But the rules of an old Phillies lady scorned ...
This lady was booed into outer space.
This took place in Miami, but its the Marlins so there were more Phillies fans around than Marlins, but the Marlins team helped to make the inter-Philly dispute right.
And the Phillies, on top of it all, made the whole affair worthwhile.
Lots of people have caught a home run ball, but not that many kids get a bat! And that's not all. Fox's The Fixer has decided to hook up the family as well.
This kid had no idea how famous he was going to be and how much free stuff he was going to get.
My favorite part of this whole story, and it should be a surprise to no one, is that the top reply to all of these posts is something like this:
Pocahontas catching absolute strays here š
Your take is totally wrong.
And your facts are wrong.
Kind of idiotic in fact is your post.
My guess is you arenāt a baseball game attender.
ā So Iām relying on the article, which said she caught the ball first.ā
If the article said that, itās wrong.
greenishness :ā But evidently she caught it first, then dropped it.ā
Old Pro: āFirst time I heard that. She she catch it in her Kamala baseball cap?ā
First time you heard it because itās not true. Greenie is making it up.
Wrong genius.
I attend the games and I watched the video of the whole play, which you haven’t.
you’re simply wrong. She had it in her hand and dropped it as she tried to catch it. The ball fell directly at her feet a she reached down for it.
The father ran across 16 seats to get over to her, reached down at her feet and grabbed it.
I said a ball is up for grabs, but the father was also overly aggressive and ran over to her seat to grab it from under where she a sitting.
Neither one is a hero. I wouldn’t have run that far from my seat and grabbed that from at her feet.
If you don’t think that happened, watch the video.
I’m still miffed the dad gave the ball away...
“This lady was booed into outer space.”
And now she’s whining that she’s can’t leave her house ‘cause she’s booed all the time. LOL!
She didn’t catch it; she didn’t even touch it before he did
The price for a box seat in a home run zone varies widely, but you can expect to pay anywhere from $200-$300 for individual seats in a standard section to $5,000-$15,000+ for a suite or premium club box, depending on the team, opponent, and date. These “box seats” can range from regular outfield seats to luxury suites with amenities.
Examples of Prices-——Outfield Seats:
Seats in a standard home run territory can be a moderate price, with some areas ranging from $20-$30 or up to $200-$300 for specific seats.
Premium & Luxury Seating:
A club seat in the first row behind home plate can cost anywhere from $400 to $1,000 per ticket, while those in the right or left field club level can range from $6,000 to $8,500 per game.
Luxury Suites: For a private luxury suite, prices can vary from $3,000-$6,000 for a team like the Phillies or $10,000-$25,000 for the Yankees, with the cost often increasing against popular opponents.
Metropolitans @ Quakers
Still some $20 tix left. All the way up to $500.
He did the “oi-boi” reaction to her when she came up.
What a pu$$y
Her firing was fake news. Has not happened.
Youāre simply making that up.
You also donāt understand baseball. The father went to where the ball was going to land from the crack of the bat, just like an outfielder does.
The crowd was sparse and there were empty seats in his row between where the ball landed, in his row, and his family was sitting. He was thus able to quickly go to where the ball was going to land.
Why do you think she ever even touched the ball?
Iāve watched numerous videos of it.
She never touched it. He simply knew where it was going to land and went the ball landed in his row, the one below where the woman was. It all just came together.
If it had landed in the womanās row he couldnāt have reached it. It turned out all he did was pick it up.
The woman was too far above to get it. Itās not easy to reach down to below the seat in the row below you.
Must be a Kamela Harris supporter....Dumb bitch...
Lol I’m not making anything up. You can see her hand touching the ball, and I do not believe it fell in the row below her, he picked the ball up from at her feet as she was reaching to pick it up.
Yes there were some empty seats but not all empty between his seat and the ball - 16 seats total, none of which were his.
I don’t disagree the fans can move around to get a ball, and he had the right to run over there and pick it up. Not sure I’ve seen someone in the past run that far over to in front of another person’s occupied seat to grab the ball. But maybe.
He can do what he did, she can do what she did, I don’t think she deserves to be vilified or the father glorified.
ā You can see her hand touching the balā
I contend you are making that up. Or wrong.
Link to where you saw this.
In the video of the entire incident. I believe she touched it can’t say she controlled it, she obviously did not.
Look if it was just between her and the father probably nobody would care, or they’d consider the father a wimpand her a B. But he gave it to his kid, who did not catch it. Then he took it from his kid and handed it to her, which many people say he shouldn’t have done.
Glad the kid got some nice stuff, between her and the father I don’t think anyone would care.
I want to go back to what I initially replied to. Your 25.
ā the father ran across 16 seats to reach down in front of this lady and grab the ball that she was picking up from the ground directly underneath her seat.ā
Thatās not right. He didnāt pick it up from directly under her seat.
He bent down facing sideways to the field to pick it up from the row he was in.
She was in the row behind and reaching down forward to try and reach over the seats to get it.
If your scenario were accurate heās have had his back to us/the field and be reaching up over the seats in the row he was standing in.
The ball may have hit her hands or body on the fly, hard to tell.
Father positioned himself well and no one else was able to catch it or control it before him. It fell right to him.
