This video is going to make you lose your mind.
A home run ball was hit into the stands at a Phillies game last night and a dad was able to snag the ball for his son before this lady who dropped the catch was able to grab it off the ground.
What happened next was wild.
Dad obviously didn't just snag the ball out of her hand. He grabbed it off the ground while they were both there simultaneously after she dropped the catch. He also gave the ball to his son. The rules of fandom clearly state that's his ball.
But the rules of an old Phillies lady scorned ...
This lady was booed into outer space.
This took place in Miami, but its the Marlins so there were more Phillies fans around than Marlins, but the Marlins team helped to make the inter-Philly dispute right.
And the Phillies, on top of it all, made the whole affair worthwhile.
Lots of people have caught a home run ball, but not that many kids get a bat! And that's not all. Fox's The Fixer has decided to hook up the family as well.
This kid had no idea how famous he was going to be and how much free stuff he was going to get.
My favorite part of this whole story, and it should be a surprise to no one, is that the top reply to all of these posts is something like this:

A spot on YouTube says the outrage against her was so strong that she was fired from her job....
And they paid \how much\ for the box seats in a home run ‘zone’?

Apparently the Uber-Karen was/is a school administrator.
That would be taking things too far.
For displaying Philadelphia manners in Florida?
That would be believable.
Despite the conjecture and rumors about being fired and being a school admin, I don’t believe Karen has been accurately identified as of yet.
Now the company she supposedly worked for claims she never worked there and they did NOT fire her...

Now she has lots of free time to spend with her precious baseball trophy.
I didn’t know Elizabeth Warren “”Kemosabe” was a Philli’s fan.
That's not true. For tonight's game against the Mets, the "home run zone" seats in the outfield are about $70-80. Most of the lower deck seats along the first and 3rd base lines are $130-ish. (The nosebleeds are about $40)
OMG, Instagram absolutely exploded with this story over the weekend. It invaded every feed. She was hunted down, ID’ed, her workplace found, home residence found... Karma hit hard, lol.

Being 2 hours away from Tiger Stadium, I can’t afford to take my grandkids to a Tiger’s game.

I disagree. Placing a hand on the guy, flipping them off and scaring the kid is a bit much for a school “administrator”. I don’t think I would like my kid being in a district that supported a staff member like this. But that is just me.

Traveled from CA to CO recently and took my son’s family to a Rockies game. $170 tickets behind the home dugout were $62 cuz, you know, the Rockies suck

The woman was obviously way out of line. But I agree with you. It would be one thing if the kid had caught the ball, then the woman wrestled it out of his hands. But evidently she caught it first, then dropped it.
I’m not saying I’m right. But I would have given the ball to her. And that’s because I’m stuck in a long bygone era, when the rules for men were different.
One particularly nasty woman.
