This video is going to make you lose your mind.
A home run ball was hit into the stands at a Phillies game last night and a dad was able to snag the ball for his son before this lady who dropped the catch was able to grab it off the ground.
What happened next was wild.
Dad obviously didn't just snag the ball out of her hand. He grabbed it off the ground while they were both there simultaneously after she dropped the catch. He also gave the ball to his son. The rules of fandom clearly state that's his ball.
But the rules of an old Phillies lady scorned ...
This lady was booed into outer space.
This took place in Miami, but its the Marlins so there were more Phillies fans around than Marlins, but the Marlins team helped to make the inter-Philly dispute right.
And the Phillies, on top of it all, made the whole affair worthwhile.
Lots of people have caught a home run ball, but not that many kids get a bat! And that's not all. Fox's The Fixer has decided to hook up the family as well.
This kid had no idea how famous he was going to be and how much free stuff he was going to get.
My favorite part of this whole story, and it should be a surprise to no one, is that the top reply to all of these posts is something like this:
Pocahontas catching absolute strays here š
Donāt know why the kids father let her take the ball.
Because he didn’t want to be the “bad guy” which would have most likely led to him being fired from his job.
I would say, if another guy went after him, yes he should stand his ground, but we all know, when it’s a women, regardless of whether she’s a ‘Karen’ or not, it’s a lot more tricky.
Ha! Good thing family was around or she might have tried.
There is no rule just because the ball lands closest to you you have a right to it, the rule has always since balls will bounce around, the first person to actually control it is the rightful owner, obviously you can’t shove people out of the way to grab the ball or physically interfere with other’s attempt to control the ball, other than that it’s a fre for all.
My sister caught a missed field goal ball years ago in DC we needed security to leave the stadium.I doubt she even has the ball anymore. This whole thing is stupid.
But what in the Richard Simmons hell is with the Dad’s reaction with the hands when Karen caught up to him?
Dad gave it to his son, then took it from him to give it to Karen, as he simp-caved to the pressure of the harridan.
The ball probably hit her.
My god, that woman looks just like Elizabeth Warren!

I knew I'd seen that face before!...................
That fits. I thought the dad was a little wimpish but he did make the right value judgement - "if the ball was THAT important to this herbivore, better to let her have it."
āI donāt know if thatās assault or battery (never can keep them straight).ā
Swing and miss, assault. Swing and hit, assault and battery.
Geez. No wonder the Marlins can’t draw flies (much less catch flies).
Surprised she doesnāt have purple hair, but I bet she wears a thumb ring.
Good
Now she has lots of free time to spend with her precious baseball trophy.
She just listed the ball on eBay as the "Shot heard round the world #2" bids are presently at $70,000
“The woman was obviously way out of line. But I agree with you. It would be one thing if the kid had caught the ball, then the woman wrestled it out of his hands. But evidently she caught it first, then dropped it.
Iām not saying Iām right. But I would have given the ball to her. And thatās because Iām stuck in a long bygone era, when the rules for men were different.”
Same thing happened to me as to her. I only had one shot in my life, home run ball dropped in the seats. I ran, kept my eye on the ball, never took my eye off it. I ran to it and bent down to pick it up but my hand landed on top of another hand.
I lost.
When going for a foul ball or home run ball you absolutely have to watch the others around you and adjust accordingly or you will lose. You might lose anyway.
First time I heard that. She she catch it in her Kamala baseball cap?
Had to check Ebay to see if it was true.
A happy ending would have her getting punched in the face by the father.
