A London restaurant has been shut down after dog meat was allegedly found in the freezer.
Pho Na, a Vietnamese restaurant on Old Kent Road, Southwark, closed after inspectors found the suspicious looking meat labelled as ‘goat wrapped in leaves’.
But when it was sent for analysis it was confirmed it was dog meat.
Inspectors also discovered mice droppings and cockroaches inside the establishment.

Before we left I pitched a fit and didn’t want to go......when my parents told me were moving back I pitched a fit and didn’t want to come back. 😏
He knew their health and cleanliness standards. The only Asian restaurant I would patronize is a Japanese one.
One of the saddest days of my life was when we left for the second and final time.

I have a friend that worked in a very reputable restaurant kitchen in the 80s and the went on to be a master plumber spending his share of time repairing plumbing in restaurant kitchens, many times during service hours.
He’s told me on many occasions, if I knew what goes on in restaurant kitchens I’d never eat out again.....which is why I like Carrabba’s....at least there you can watch the food being prepared if you want.

So much to be said for good ol’ home cooking. Including vegetables grown in a backyard garden.
Just make sure the uncooked seafood has been frozen properly to kill the possible parasites that the seafood sometimes have in it. ....but if danger is your game ..try the Fugu.(tetrodotoxin).

I once saw a review online about a highly-rated “authentic”
Mexican restaurant.
Her review said the food was greasy, the silverware was unclean, the floors were dirty, and the commode smelled.
I typed. “What are you complaining about? You said you wanted ‘authentic’.
I recall something decades ago in Greenville, SC where dead cats were found in a Chinese restaurant freezer.
Yeah, even though I was just a kid, I remember that flight back to the states was a real bummer.
I occasionally scan the ratings for the local restaurants. Indian restaurants are usually near the bottom of the ratings, fast food franchise chains are usually near the top.

In my days of fast food chains it was all stainless steel, constant cleaning, and the grill, drink machines and counters spotless after closing, with zero issues of messy coolers and imperfect food rotation, with mopped floors and all sinks cleaned and shiny.
