Newly released video captured the moment the winner of a $167.3 million Powerball jackpot got tackled and tased by Florida police after kicking a deputy in the head.
Bodycam footage from the April 29 brawl caught James Farthing, 50, booting a Pinellas County Sheriff’s deputy in the head when police arrived at the TradeWinds Resort, in St. Pete Beach, after he allegedly punched a hotel guest in the face, WFLA reported.
The deputy was holding another person to the ground when Farthing ran up and kicked him, with resort security rushing in to pin the suspect against the wall and help the deputy.
“I just got kicked,” the dumbfounded deputy could be heard radioing as the security guards yelled at Farthing to stand down.

“I’m sorry man, please,” Farthing could be heard saying as the officers handcuffed him.
“Save your f—king sorries for later,” the deputy fired back.
The law enforcement officer had “swelling and redness” on the right side of his face under his eye, according to the affidavit first reported on by the Smoking Gun.
Farthing hit Kentucky’s largest lottery jackpot just day before the encounter, opting to split the winnings with his mother as an early Mother’s Day gift.
Following his arrest at the TradeWinds Resort, it was revealed that Farthing was a career criminal who had has racked up convictions across nine counties in Kentucky for a litany of offenses — including choking a girlfriend, bribing officers while in prison and selling cocaine to an undercover cop, according to the Smoking Gun.

This reminds me of the movie “Kingpin,” where Big Ern (the jerk played by Bill Murray) wins the million dollar bowling tournament prize and says, “Finally, Big Ern is above the law!”
and it gets worse all the time, sadly.
All winners become rich by the act of winning. Which shows that a poor person can become rich by robbing a sufficient number of his neighbors ... that is all. Not sure what your point is.
In any case, my post stands ... playing the lottery is a bad decision ... winning the lottery is a reward for making bad decisions ... and people who habitually make bad decisions when poor will not suddenly start making good decisions when they become rich as a result of a bad decision. They will continue making bad decisions ... and they will demonstrate that rich people who habitually make bad decisions don't stay rich.
Class, all the way.
Another lowlife stumbles into big money.
We know how this script will play out.
I spend more time in the outdoors. Gods creatures are 100% better than humans. I even throw all the fish I catch back. Except a few bluegills. Tasty.
“What groups are those?”
When I wrote that some people that look like me are really dumb I was referring to some white southerners. I have to own this. Some of the people in our ranks - in my extended family even - are the dumbest, most violent people that you never want to meet.
We need to bring the heavy hand of correction down on these people until they learn to act right. Otherwise, place them under close supervision.

Uh huh.
Hi Pete!
I agree with comment #7:
Antoninus:
“He’ll be dead before he can spend 10% of his winnings. Guaranteed.”
Whitey Bulger would become partners with many Boston Lottery winners, a amazing streak of luck for the Irish hood over the years.
Those winnings are before taxes. After taxes depending on state income taxes they can be less than half of that.
With his experience of the courthouse he should have been smart enough to put a quality law firm on retainer.
My statistics professor told me that at least half of Americans are below average. But that was back in the 1960’s.
Surely with all Federal money, property tax money and unionization the Government has greatly improved on that.

He appears to have problems with impulse control. Very possible!
He’s off to a good start.
