It will not improve health.

EBT is also used to buy liquor. And illegal drugs. The trick is to buy something legal and trade it back at a discount.

It is ridiculous how abused these programs are.
SNAP, EBT and whatever else there is allows people on them to buy anything.
This is not right nor is it the original intent of the programs.
It needs to be stopped and right now.

Oh...and get illegals off the programs too.

I have no problem with soda 🥤

Crab 🦀🦀🦀 legs yes LOL

I’d prefer that RFK and friends
get rid of the biggest danger to
our health: ObamaDisasterCare

It RUINED American Health Care

ALL according to DEMOCRAT plan

This minor stuff is NOTHING
compared to that Monster

Get rid of mRNA manipulation

THESE are the IMPORTANT things

Absolutely.

And that should apply to ALL junk food.

Government hand outs should absolutely come with strings attached. Want government freebies? Then take the restrictions.

I remember when they first started being able to purchase junk food, sugary cereals, cookies and sodas and it was explained away as welfare people shouldn’t feel like they aren’t able to have the other ‘luxury’ items that working people can afford.

I am sick of hearing about how medical care is racist when shown all of the health problems the welfare community has. Take away their ability to purchase junk food and prepackaged food as well as fast food and see what happens to their health.

Food stamps should be used for basic nutritional foods only. PERIOD.

When I was a kid a soda was a once in a while treat, sometimes shared with other. I still regard it as a treat, not a staple. The same applies to dining out.

SNAP should accept things like vitamins, supplements and aspirin, and perhaps even bottled water.

It’s a bit too nanny state and slippery slope for me.

The singling out of sodas is also somewhat arbitrary. Orange juice has pretty much the same amount of sugar. What about Frozen Lemonade? Popsicles? Then comes Ice Cream and cookies and there is no stopping the food police when they smell the opportunity to appear they are doing something.

While we’re at it... let’s go ahead and slide “all” the way down this slippery slope. Here’s a thought. If those food items are so unhealthy for one segment of society (right now, it’s welfare recipients).... let’s go ahead and ban those unhealthy food items for everyone. I mean... it’s for the good of the people... right? It’s for all of humanity’s health. It’s also for the children whose willful parents let them buy all those evil items at the grocery store.

And let’s face it. It’s not just people on welfare that make unhealthy food choices and end up wrecking their health and eventually end up on welfare... which effects us all... right? We all end up paying for those folks that don’t look after their own health as we are faced with higher and ever-increasing medical insurance premiums.

And here comes the fun part. Right now, the GOP is in power. But when the commie left gets back into power over us all ... and they will... they’ll get to ‘decide’ what is ok for us to eat and what is not. They do so love to throw their power around (remember how they were with Covid and with the Obamacare “mandates”?). They will take RFK Jr.’s EBT torch... and carry it all the way, to the ultimate end. The same end as always when government is given the power to decide what’s good for us and what is not.

Before you know it... nobody will be able to buy “junk food”. It will all be banned. And they’ll be the ones deciding which items to ban... which will make them all giggly. And as usual, the commie elites will still be able and allowed to buy all of the “junk food” that they want (more for them). Cool, huh? Can’t wait. I don’t need those potato chips & dip, burgers and ice cream any way. It’s all bad for me and I know it. I just don’t have the will power to resist. Thank God the commie left (Democrats) will be around to save me from myself.

He’s absolutely right about that. If there is a way they can ban junk food/candy, etc they should do that too. You want to eat on the public dime? Then you have to eat healthy food. Scream and cry all you want. If you want junk food with sugar and salt and fat, etc pay for it with your own money.

“”Kennedy pointed out that while people can make their own decisions regarding what to buy and what not to buy, taxpayers in the United States “should not pay” for people on SNAP to purchase items like sugary sodas.””

I am amazed at the “supposedly Conservatives” that seem so willing to give government the right to detail what is ok for us to consume and what is not. Today it’s sugary sodas and SNAP recipients. But we all know, by now, how government takes ANY power given it and takes it to whole new levels over us ALL. Catch a clue, guys.

Today it’s RFK Jr. (a former Democrat, btw). In a few years it could be another nutrition czar (like Michelle Big Mike Obama) telling us what we can’t have.... for our own good, of course.

And I can only imagine how happy the globalist elites will be seeing America give over to government the power to decide what foods ‘certain people’ can or can’t have or buy. I wonder... do they still want that depopulation thingy...?

Here’s a bit about the Food Ban Train we’re on....

***

“Government Control of Your Diet: Threats to “Freedom to Eat”

Ways to Stop the Food Ban Train

The nation is on a path toward federal food bans.

Respect Individual Liberty
The government should not intervene in the most basic and private aspects of our lives—even if there were some alleged indirect social cost. In a free society, people are entitled to live as they deem fit, especially in their personal lives, absent clear and direct harm to others. If the government can control what the public eats, it is difficult to imagine what it could not do.”

Food stamps should only be used for beans, rice, and milk. You want to eat better, get out there and earn a living like the rest of us.
