Sky's Tom Cheshire meets the people behind a self-declared whites-only town in rural Arkansas.

The group says it’s about freedom and community - but critics say it’s a dangerous step toward organised hate.

I will say the same thing I did to the black people who bought a bunch of land and were going to form a "black only" community also somewhere in the southern US.

The Fair Housing Act (FHA) prohibits discrimination in the sale, rental, or financing of housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability.

That only applies to housing, not lots of land. If there is no housing attached to the lot, FHA may not apply. Discrimination based on race will most certainly be struck down in court. A religious community that sells land only to other members of that religion may get some slack in the courts. Someone outside the community needs to know a property is for sale before anything can go to court. Private sales are under government radar.

It’s different now that we have a $3 trillion unpayable deficit. Nobody wants to hold Treasuries any more. Open your eyes and see what is happening to the price of gold. IIn addition we have the BRICs nations offering competition to the dollar. The old world order is slowly collapsing. The US may be able to muddle through more or less because we have natural resources but Europe is screwed. That’s why so many EU politicians want war with Russia. Not because they really consider Russia a military threat but because they want to steal Russia’s vast natural resources.

The US dollar is backed by the faith and credit of the US government but with $37 trillion in debt that is increasing by leaps and bounds every year you’d have to be a fool to trust it.

It's always been the case with Russia. Rich in natural resources. But it doesn't mean that they'll attract investors. If it wasn't for the war, we'll have to deal with corruption. Other BRICS countries are similar. Brazil. China. India.

Anyone can invest in the U.S. We have an open and vibrant economy.

Given the principle and ideal of self-government, under what other principle wpd you criticize such enclaves?

(I agree that an Islamic enclave is bad, but one could easily argue they are simply pursuing self-government.)

I think there are charitable trusts that focus on helping blacks, Latinos, Jews, even women or gays.

Would a trust focused on helping whites (however they choose to define that) stand up to legal challenges?
