A “flash mob” of some 200 Chicago residents swarmed Glen Ellyn’s Sunset village pool on Saturday afternoon, forcing their way past the entrance and assaulting the pool manager.
A video posted on Instagram shows a crowd pushing manager Christine Giunta-Mayer into the lap pool, which had been surrounded by the mob. (another link to video)
Sources tell DuPage Policy Journal that the mob arrived around 4:30 p.m. Glen Ellyn Police arrived soon after and closed the pool.
And guess what was instituted the next day?
On Sunday, Sunset Pool visitors were required to have a physical pool pass issued by the park district, sources tell DuPage Policy Journal.

Video depicts chaos at Glen Ellyn pool: Twerking, fireworks and manager shoved into water
Can you twerk out a car window?
At first thought, it’s a big money day for the Glen Ellyn pool.
But this crowd only consumes, and never pays.
Glen Ellyn was being culturally enriched.
otoh, these are the same people carnival cruise line soesnt want. Arrogant, bold, aggressive, and anti social. Iow feral youth with low IQs and rap sheets before they hit high school.
Time to exercise our 2nd amendment rights.
“And, they say, part of the problem lies in assigning white and Latino lifeguards to pools in African American neighborhoods.
Seriously.”
Q. What can you do when a mob like that shows up?
A. Realistically, nothing. Your day is ruined.
Q. Nothing at all?
A. Well, you could move. That’s what I’d do.
Side point:
People learn what you teach them. Democrats (starting with LBJ) have taught inner city black folks that it’s perfectly okay to behave in an irresponsible manner. So if you’re looking for a root cause here, look at the Democrat Party.
Illinois . . . what else can you expect these days.
If only there were some clues...
“residents”
“swarmed
“forcing their way past”
“assaulting the pool manager”
“crowd”
“pushing”
“mob”
But no “teens” or “youths”???
If we all weren’t so racist this crap wouldn’t be happening.
Been a while since I lived in the Chicago area, but back in those days, Glen Ellyn was considered a nice suburb. All of DuPage County was nice.
Glen Ellyn is 78% White 3% A frickan American
To keep hard feelings at bay it might be best to only have black lifeguards for primarily black pools. If there aren't enough blacks signing up for lifeguard jobs the pool would stay closed.
We're taking on problems that are't ours - and chaos is the result. With the new welfare/work requirements in the BBB there should be plenty of people signing up for lifeguard work.
A Dem stronghold. I’m sure they were more than happy to share their pool with like minded people.
I just gotta shake my head………
White peoples are so scared to be labeled racist that they have that sort of demographic in that area and they can’t/won’t put a stop to this behavior.
My family lives in a 90% Latino community. This stuff doesn’t happen in our neighborhood. Hell, black people are afraid to go into their neighborhood because they know we don’t like them and we will do something to them if they try to pull this kind of crap.
—”Glen Ellyn was being culturally enriched.”
Or maybe not.
I lived next to Glen Eylllyn for years, Many beautiful homes...
Sadly, my DuPage County, once a bastion of conservatism, is going left.
A vast wave has abandoned Chicago and brought their voting patterns with them.
I had to laugh at the video. The only person in the pool was the manager that was shoved into it.
Lazy-@$$ed savages who will never be anything else. Yet the somehow have money for braided hair and cars and cellphones to give them alerts to form flash mobs.
In ancient times when I was there age, I worked during the summers. So did the black kids I knew. What a concept.
