A new poll has found 44 percent of Californian adults would vote for the state to leave the United States and become a fully independent nation, which the Independent California Institute (ICI) told Newsweek is a "record high poll result for secession."

Newsweek contacted California Governor Gavin Newsom for comment via email on Tuesday outside of regular office hours.

Wind and solar could supply all of their energy needs? That’s probably all they’d have.

See how fast they sue if Trump helps them test independence by cutting off all federal funds. Oh, and cut off federal power and federal water.

California, Oregon, Washington, out. Alberta in.

It’s cheaper to kill the 44% wanting to secede.

MCB Camp Pendleton
USNB San Diego
USNB Coronado
MCRD San Diego
NAS Miramar
MCB 29 Palms
Ft Irwin
MCMWTC Bridgeport
MCLB Barstow
DLI, Presidio of Monterry
Ft Lewis, Wa
USNB Kitsap Wa
USAFB Vanderberg
USAFB Travis
USAFB March
and about 30 more bases, airfields, and installations.

From the Act For Admission of California -1850:

“Sec 3. And be it further enacted, that the said State of California is admitted into the Union upon the express condition that the people of said State, through their legislature or otherwise, shall never interfere with the primary disposal of the public lands within its limits and shall pass no law and do no act whereby the title of the United States, to, and right to dispose of, the same shall be impaired or questioned;”

So, could they secede, or try to, without violating the condition noted above? And if they violate the condition, does that nullify the enabling act that made them a State? And if they nullify the enabling act that made them a State, would what’s now a State become a Territory of the United States? I doubt we will have to find out, but it’s interesting.

California is over. The horse has already left the barn. No point in locking the door now.

CA is 45% federal-owned land. Subtract that and subtract county by county options and independent CA won’t be what the secessionists imagine.

Given that elections are stolen in California, and that’s how Newsom beat two recall attempts, I don’t believe these polls. I believe Americans want woke Newsom to leave - no polls for THAT.

If they seceded the Chinese would be right there!
We lose access to the Pacific.
If they try and stunt like that it needs to be crushed with extreme prejudice. California then divided into 3 states.

Well, OKie Dokie then. No more imported electricity from the Pacific Northwest, Nevada or Arizona and an embargo on imported crude oil and refined petroleum products enforced by naval blockade. No fly zone over the entire “country” enforced by the USAF. And that’s just the beginning.

They don’t need to succeed. If the movement to form a new state from N Cali and S Oregon (Jefferon), merged with the movement to enlarge Idaho into Greater Idaho (essentially the eastern parts of Oregon and maybe some of Washington into a larger Idaho) into the Greater, Greatest Idaho, then the MAGA Cali, Oregon and possibly part of Washington would be less of an issue to the Cali lefties.

Except the areas that don’t.
Each county should vote, and see where they want to go.
LA, San Fran, Ect, go be communists and get it over with.
Those others, they are welcome to be US if they choose.

“...Could they survive without federal government money?...”

Highly unlikely that they could.
They’ve just about killed all their major power generation facilities.
They’ve driven their oil/gas refineries out of business.
They have little to no fresh water. It comes from other states.
IF the communist woke managed to survive, they’d probably be like the walking dead.
