Poor People Exempt from Law
Second City Cop ^ | 2 July 2025 | Second City Cop

A program designed to allow low-income Chicago residents to have their traffic fees waived has been made permanent due to a new law.

...We don't know - if you can afford a car, plates, stickers, insurance and gas, then you can afford to either obey the f#$%ing law or pay the fines that go along with breaking the law. Or just take the damn bus.

Poor People Exempt from Law

In America, there are Laws For Thee, and Laws For Me.

If not, find an island far from the mainland and drop them off and do a monthly food and supplies drop.

Remove then to the Andaman Islands. The issue of food drops will be solved pretty quickly.

Yee haw, 90 mph in a school zone!!!

They have a car and are putting gas in it, then they can afford the fine.

If it is a stolen car, would this perk also cancel car theft charges? Might as well.

Once again, the shrinking middle class gets the privilege of paying everyone else’s bills.

As mentioned there is a HUGE equal protection issue here.

But, are “some” exempted from having/ maintaining valid license, safety/ inspections, insurance (if mandatory) as well as traffic violations?

Seems like a very large class action suit is in the works for all those that have to pay for all of these Taxes/Fees.

Similarly, if they can afford sneakers that cost hundreds of dollars and a home entertainment system, they can certainly afford food for themselves and their kids and don't need SNAP.

Or just take the damn bus.

Don't give them any ideas. Many cities are giving welfare recipients and homeless people free bus passes, giving them yet one more place to loiter and another (literal) free ride.

Laws are for white people.

The most pervasive trend I've seen in the criminal justice system over the last 20 years is blacks getting no punishment at all for minor offenses that result in fines or even jail time for everyone else, and slaps on the wrist (e.g. probation/time served) for major offenses that result in very long prison sentences for non-blacks. No wonder they behave the way they do, their actions have no consequences.

It started 30 years or so ago. When you first heard that there were more blacks in prison than their percentage of the population - that was unfair, that was not "equity".

It's hard to believe that people like Bill Clinton and Joe Biden once supported putting violent criminals away for good after multiple offenses (i.e. 1994 Crime Bill). That was back when Democrats had to at least pretend to be sane enough to support common sense law enforcement, before the party was completely taken over by the "equity" race racket and BLM hoodlums.

This is how a city becomes a s___thole. It happened in New York City before Giuliani came in and reversed the policy. I guess we’re going to have to learn the same lesson over again.

—”The Rich and the Well connected never have.”

Please define “RICH”.
I have some friends and relatives who have done exceedingly well.
And they pay mega taxes, yes, still more after tax than they can spend.

I asked about the stories of rich tax avoiders with offshore accounts.
They explained the process with trusts and offshore holdings, which pay most expenses and is taxable,to make it look good, and a credit card system for offshore expenses...
And the scheme may be wiped out with any tax law changes.

I only know one elected official now retired, and I believe he is the mostly legitimate, he always said every move he makes is watched. Yes, he has three different pensions, maybe four, and government pensions somehow often pay much more than is paid in.

You need to be near the top of the food chain to avoid paying.

DuPage County, next to Chicago, was once a bastion of conservatism.
THOSE DAYS ARE GONE!!!
The fat rats move out of the city and vote for more rats.

We had an ARMED carjacking at a nearby public gym, where my grandkids go!

They take Uber to a leafy suburb and jack a ride home.
