The most pervasive trend I've seen in the criminal justice system over the last 20 years is blacks getting no punishment at all for minor offenses that result in fines or even jail time

It started 30 years or so ago. When you first heard that there were more blacks in prison than their percentage of the population - that was unfair, that was not "equity".

It's hard to believe that people like Bill Clinton and Joe Biden once supported putting violent criminals away for good after multiple offenses (i.e. 1994 Crime Bill). That was back when Democrats had to at least pretend to be sane enough to support common sense law enforcement, before the party was completely taken over by the "equity" race racket and BLM hoodlums.
