Iran is a threat to Israel and Israel is the one that should take care of the problem.
If we bomb Iran, then what? Are we going to spend billions rebuilding it and nation building? Or do we just leave it in rumble and inflame Islamic jihadists, who, no doubt, will be planning another 9/11?
Are problems begin with getting involved in a war in Iran.

I don't recall hearing that from anyone reputable. The argument was usually laid out in a surprisingly rational matter, with discussions of how many centrifuges were required, how long it would take to make the fuel, then the bomb, etc.
But if you can find the government and/or CIA saying a decade ago that Iran was just weeks away, I'll retract that and apologize.

Many on the Free Republic would love to see Trump use a nuke on the nuke bunkers in Iran, take out a few cities and slay a million Iranians. The Democrats would brand Trump a monster. Once we take out Iran, we can demand that China dump their Nukes! and Pakistan! North Korea and Russia. No, that is not an answer.
I don’t see a good solution, at least when it comes to the enrichment facilities. I once ran the numbers on a “Rod from God”, i.e. a telephone-pole-sized rod of solid Tungsten striking a target. I was even extremely generous and had it strike the Earth with no deceleration, i.e. at an orbital velocity of 17,500 mph. It just wasn’t all that much energy delivery. I’ll concede that such a weapon, with the right shape, might penetrate to a high depth, but aside from that or a nuke (which is politically impossible), I don’t see how we destroy the Iranians’ enrichment facility under that mountain. Maybe the Israelis will be forced to land and blow it by hand.
