Deviled Eggs recipe we use
12 Large Eggs
1/2 c Mayonnaise (we use salad dressing aka Miracle Whip)
2 tsp Dijon Mustard
2 tsp sweet pickle juice (we skip because we tend to not have bread & butter, gerkin etc)
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp paprika (for sprinkle at end)
Dash to 1/2 tsp cayenne or curry powder, optional (we use cayenne and prob more than 1/2 tsp)
Now that I look at it, I think we use the 1/2 tsp cayenne and also replace the paprika sprinkle with cayenne. Good stuff, always raved about.
Thanks - your recipe is very, very close to my recipe - exact same ingredients except for cayenne .... I added Tabasco or Sriracha. I put paprika in a salt shaker to sprinkle on the top. I also get ‘fancy’ & use a pastry bag/tip for piping because I’m not good at filling with a spoon :-)
The guys in our family scarf up the deviled eggs in no time. When the Pastor was announcing the picnic/party on the 29th & the sign up sheet, she commented “and I like deviled eggs .... just saying!” Deviled eggs are certainly popular with most people.
Thanks again!
My Deviled Egg recipe is similar to yours, Pollard, but I always have home-canned Pickle Relish on hand to mix in, and that is a MUST for us.
I like Smoked Paprika on top, or Chipotle.
It amazes me how many variations you can come up with for a simple Deviled Egg:

I have some organic tomato powder I like to use on deviled eggs.
I just made a half batch (6 eggs) using your recipe. It’s a very easy recipe to split in half. Based on the ingredients, I knew I’d like it, but wanted to check it out before committing to a large batch.
The result of my small batch experience: I will be using your recipe for the church event on the 29th. I went light on the cayenne, but won’t do that again. I had sprinkled paprika on top & since the cayenne was light in the filling mix, I added cayenne on top with the paprika, just to check out the ‘spice’ factor ... definitely need more cayenne in the filling next time!
I have two deviled egg carriers that make transporting deviled eggs a breeze - each holds 20 halves. I will bet all of the 40 deviled egg halves will quickly disappear ... it’s going to be a big crowd. :-)
Thanks again for the recipe!
