My Deviled Egg recipe is similar to yours, Pollard, but I always have home-canned Pickle Relish on hand to mix in, and that is a MUST for us.
I like Smoked Paprika on top, or Chipotle.

I saw a ‘Chef John’ mention in the link you posted. I LOVE his green beans so I had to check out the deviled egg recipe:

His different ingredient is cream cheese. I will try his recipe some time, but not for the 29th. I think cream cheese would give the filling more ‘structure’ ... I don’t make ‘soupy’ filling & don’t like eating other people’s eggs if the filling is super soft. I use a decorative tip when filling the eggs & the filling is ‘stiff’ enough to hold the design.
