A young female rugby player who was left screaming in agony after a transgender rival tore apart her knee ligaments has accused sporting chiefs of letting her down.
Elena King, 20, suffered a torn ACL and MCL in January in the Netherlands after her biologically male opponent popped her left knee out of its socket with a rash challenge.
Now facing lifelong pain and six months of physiotherapy just to run again, she is asking why the Dutch Rugby Association allows transgender athletes to compete against women.

Better question
Women…why are you taking the field?
Only real women are going to resolve this by standing together and refusing to submit to the farce.
She should have refused to play — as more courageous and principled women have done in other sports.
The Mentally Ill allowing the Mentally Ill to be in Women’s Sports , on that poor trans can’t play ,D’oh
You allowed it to happen the moment you agreed to play against him.
Moral decay and cowardice.
Why? Mass psychosis among leftists, including possibly the victim and her family.
[[ asks: ‘How was this allowed to happen?]]
Answer= because women refuse to walk off the field when a trannie is on the other team- that’s how it happened.
So “Rugby Players Have Leather Balls” is even a double entendre’ in women’s rugby now.
women voted for this stuff ...
“Does women’s rugby have different rules?”
No, the rules are the same unless there is a local rule the league provides, a bylaw. The international games fall under World Rugby, formerly the International Rugby Board.
My problem with this is that it states in the article:
“King says her leg was ‘on fire’ and that a biological woman could not have caused the damage”
As a former trainer I can promise you injuries to knees are not as much based upon impact but angle and position at the time of contact. There was one person that commented in this thread that said his knee ligaments, the same as in the woman’s injury, were taken out playing football in high school. So that statement about being caused by a man only is not exactly true.
Rugby is a violent sport that is nothing short of tackling all over the surface and injuries happen frequently at lower level competitions not having proper conditioning and medical preparation. But a woman at speed can do the same injuries so blaming it on a man because he is, is not real truthful. It just sensationalizes the event for the wrong reason.

She entered the game knowingly so can’t sue successfully. One of the costs of women’s liberation I fear. Women demanded they were equal to men in every respect and now men are giving them the chance to prove it. Tough love applies.
I’d like to see a team green light one of their lower-level players to take these guys out. I normally do not think this way, but since the governing bodies won’t grow a pair maybe it’s time for the girls to take matters into their own hands. Try and make it look legal but go at him hard and blow his knees out. It was not an uncommon practice in men’s sports back in the day. Every team had a ‘goon’ who was on the team for just that purpose.
Exactly, why didn’t they?!
You caused to happen. Never get on the field with a man. We’ve seen enough needless serious injuries. WAKE UP, women. You can stop this at any time.
Very.
There used to be an unfenced field near the high school, Some overflow football practices were held there, and kids organized mud football games on weekends. About once a month, some Aussie rugby players had a match, there. It was a busy day in the emergency room.
Does women's rugby have different rules?
Probably the same rules, but Newton’s Laws are a little bit kinder to smaller, light-framed players tackling each other.
I have personal experience with female rugby. A lot of the women think they’re men.
Somebody is going to have to stand up and make it stop. Politicians who say “I’ll see you in Court” need to be thrown out of office.
