GLENDALE, Ariz. — Three people are dead and five others were injured after a shooting at a restaurant in a Phoenix suburb Sunday night, police said.
Police received calls reporting shots around 7:45 p.m. at El Camaron Gigante Mariscos & Steakhouse, Glendale Police Department Officer Moroni Mendez said during a briefing. Mendez said three people died from their injuries and five other people were injured by gunshots or shrapnel, KPHO-TV reported.
“Obviously there was a lot of people here,” Mendez said. “A lot of people that were attending some sort of event. Anyone who has information, please come forward and provide that to us because as we just recently stated, there are three deceased. So we want to make sure we do a complete and thorough investigation, and do right by the victims.”

It was a mostly family-friendly party
Celebratory gunfire is fairly common among ethnic groups.
Been there...heard that.
And mostly peaceful. Most attendees were not shot.

In some cultures it is quite common for two or three people to be killed during or after some sort of joyous celebrative event. It’s always a good time being had by all until someone says something that annoys someone else and the only acceptable response is to kill the person who did the annoying. It seems like they always have guns even though gun ownership is restricted by many laws. (Gun laws are like communism: they have never worked because they haven’t been done right every time in the past, but this time they will get it right.)

On a positive or thoughtful note, the Glendale Police Department is conveniently located across the street from the shooting location.
AZ is a Constitutional carry state. Open or concealed—head on a swivel.
