Just months into Donald Trump's second term, a new round of polling has delivered a jolt to Democrats, revealing that Trump is more trusted than them in Congress.
Why It Matters
Recent polls have shown Trump's approval ratings declining and his popularity at an all-time low. Despite this, polls still seem to show that Trump is commanding more trust than his main opposition party.
This dynamic not only strengthens Trump's hand as he advances his second-term agenda but also signals a daunting challenge for Democrats heading into the 2026 midterms—one that could further erode their influence at both state and federal levels.
What To Know
In January, Donald Trump appeared to be riding a wave of political momentum—his approval ratings had climbed into positive territory for the first time in his career, and polls suggested he was more popular than ever.
But recent polls suggest that Trump now holds the distinction of being the least popular president at the 100-day mark of a second term, surpassing even the historically low ratings he received during his first presidency.

But despite the negative polls for Trump, some suggest he is still more popular than the Democrats.

It comes at a time when polls have shown that following their 2024 election loss, the Democrats are more unpopular than ever.

Thank you very much and God bless you.
Yah, what kind of a goofball do you have to be to think, even for a moment, that any Congresscritter gives a hoot about what their constituents think of them? The only time they care, except for a very few, is when getting $$ and faking mailin ballots in their names.
Nah, it’s just “the messaging” - steady as she goes.
Trust Hogg.
Yes the Democrats always think it’s the messaging. They just don’t have good messengers in messaging about their political ideology.
I remember Obama was once asked about the biggest problem or disappointment of his presidency. To paraphrase, he said the biggest problem was not being able to explain well enough to the American people about laws and policies he supported.
So he saw the biggest problem as just not being able to convince the American people about the joys of Obamacare.
To him and Democrats, with the example of Obamacare, the problem was not Obamacare. The problem was they weren’t able to convince people about how wonderful Obamacare was.
Exactly.....stay the course dems.....full speed ahead!
Keep pushing Bernie Sanders, AOC and David Hogg out there, Dems, please.

Press conference called by Chuck U Schumer to lambast trump’s polled 40% approval rate, when it was brought to his attention that his very own poll numbers were at 17%, Schumer argued that “polls come and go”. lol 😂
Yes. Their view is, “If only we could market our psychotic crack-pottery just a little better.”
America is sick and tired of the left. We’re fed up with it.
The tariffs were going to give Trump a momentary hit in the polls, but the employment numbers and the growing number of countries willing to renegotiate their trade deals with the US will change that. Even China realizes it can’t play a long term game of economic “chicken” with us and are sounding a bit more willing to talk with the administration. Private businesses and industry know they have a Chief Executive who wants them and the country to prosper!
But recent polls suggest that Trump now holds the distinction of being the least popular president at the 100-day mark of a second term, surpassing even the historically low ratings he received during his first presidency.
That is a bald-faced LIE!
Being more trusted than Congress in government is like being more trusted for babysitting than Jeffery Dahmer, or more trusted as a chaperone than Ted Kennedy.
It isn’t setting the bar low, it is digging a ditch, putting the bar in it, and putting a piece of plywood over it. If you can’t manage to clear the bar at that point, you may not be a sentient being.
This could bode well for midterms, especially as the left becomes more and more unhinged.
Those recent polls about Trump were rigged push polls designed to generate exactly this kind of media coverage at the 100 day mark. At least Newsweek somewhat recognizes as much by the way they compared those polls to D polling.
I always get the impression that they are saying “You people are just too STUPID to understand all the great things we are doing to you.”
But wait! I thought that Trump had the lowest poll numbers for his first 100 days in office of any president going all the way back to George Washington?
Their solution is to go even crazier.
Now if we could see the unadjusted polling numbers , please,.
I’ll bet that Hoggboy is out by Memorial Day
He’s pi**ed off the party elders
