Are you sure? I've read where most of the people in the occupied areas consider themselves more Russian than Ukraine.

Probably the usual bunch. Steve, himself, never struck me as someone who thinks things out very well, at least in the political world.
The one thing he was known for was his flat tax and he getting a lot of traction. Then he was asked if it meant that employer-provided medical insurance premiums would count as income towards that tax. He was unprepared and said something like “I don’t see why not”.
His campaign immediately COLLAPSED after that.

How is this “redeeming all of its lands” going to happen?
War is over. Russia won. Only a deal will keep Ukraine from being forced into the Russian Federation. Lots of people going to Siberia. A big slice of the Ukraine population will take the first flights to France and the US of A. I remember all the rich Iranian People who came to the USA after the fall of the Shan.
I am basing my thoughts on historical precedent. I understand the whole, “Russian speaking” population argument. But, I also understand that the natural state of humans is they don’t like being “occupied.”
And I never underestimate the CIA’s ability to screw things up.
Time will tell.
