Those soul-less dead eyes, the jaundiced appearance...

That’s why the ghetto term “My peeps” creeps me out.

Has the current Administration continued to kill all the chickens in infected flocks, or are the chickens dying all by themselves. Whatever, the price of eggs and chicken is still high as are the prices for other tood protein sources like, beef, pork and seafood. Should we stop allowing developers to destroy the wild habitats that migratory birds use to rest in during their annual long hard migrations? If you click my name to read my About page, I believe you will still find an article I posted here many years ago regarding the effect of destroying habitat on the spread of bird flu. It reported deaths in domestic flocks, and sometimes of their owners.

Truth be told the only boiled egg I like it’s either poached, or a 4 minute soft boiled.

The balloon is a much better symbol IMO.

Yeah, you can always count on Mother Government to screw things up no matter what! Grrrr!

So glad we got around to getting chicks last Spring. We have 11 ladies and get 7-10 eggs per day. Taking a few dozen to our Easter Sunday gathering to share the ovum-love!

Going to make Egg Salad today with some hard-boiled eggs from earlier in the week. Not coloring any today but we always went crazy with colored eggs when we were kids. Mom baked and decorated cakes on the side and she had EVERY color food dye known to man, so we could be quite creative. Dad always wanted boring old blue for his egg, though! ;)

Pagan fertility rituals. Same as the eggs. Early Christianity co-oped a lot of stuff from near by pagans for their holidays. Decorated pine trees too.

As a child we never had chickens, but many kinds of plants in our large Victory Garden and for 7 years after WW2 ended. My father always put a raw egg in his glass of milk and swallowed it whole. Around age 12 I tried that ONCE! I never heard of Salmonella in raw eggs until in my 30s.

“Our fave is ‘Toad in the Hole’ on English Muffin Bread”

We used to call that a Bullseye, but it made using a thick slice of grainy artisan bread.
