Inverse Cramer warned today will be a "Black Monday" market crash, but he also said he's not panicking ... here's where things stand ahead of the opening bell

Usually when Jim Cramer makes predictions, the exact opposite happens, so let's hope that's true today.

If the president doesn't try to reach out and reward these countries and companies that play by the rules, then the 1987 scenario … the one where we went down three days and then down 22% on Monday, has the most cogency.

So if we follow Cramer's usual inverse trend, this means we're gonna see amazing financial growth?

Cramer said that on Saturday, but then on Sunday he said this:

'I'm not going to panic' — Jim Cramer on Sunday's stock futures sell-off https://t.co/gIoWbtr2Uv— CNBC (@CNBC) April 7, 2025

"Jim Cramer says not to panic" https://t.co/40NT4Bg28Z pic.twitter.com/OHdWQDA6wc— Wall Street Memes (@wallstmemes) April 7, 2025

So it's going to be the apocalypse but everything will be fine? How do we interpret this one, folks??

President Trump, for his part, harnessed his inner Joshua 1:9 and commanded America to be strong and courageous:

Be Strong, Courageous, and Patient, and GREATNESS will be the result! pic.twitter.com/lig0DccOSL— Rapid Response 47 (@RapidResponse47) April 7, 2025

Here's how global markets stand ahead of the 9:30 a.m. EST opening bell on Wall Street:

Amid the falling market and crashing inflation, the Federal Reserve is meeting behind closed doors to discuss things.

I have absolutely no clue what's going to happen but I hope Cramer stops making predictions before he summons Cthulhu to destroy us all.

The only tool Trump has to operate with is the hammer. And, everthing looks like a nail!

It will suck even for the 38% who don’t have them soon enough.

S&P 500 crashes past its 52-wk low (hit 50 weeks ago) and enters bear market territory.

Anyone who has any stock market experience over the past 40 years recognizes this as a market correction. They occur, they are real, the market recovers.

From my standpoint, the S&P 500 is down 21% from it's ATH on Feb 19.

In 1987, the S&P 500 dropped 33% from August to October. And in 2020 it dropped 33% (or so) from Feb 19 to March 23.

So I'm thinking let it go down another 5% or 10% .... before we buy back in like Stacey Abrams jumping into a Captain D's family pack.

Corrections 10% down. We hit that last Thursday.

We’re now down 20%. That’s a bear.

Anyone who has any stock market experience over the past 40 years knows, corrections and bear definitions are measured against the chart, not the calendar.

And you need to refresh your chart because even if one wants to use a YTD measure for some reason, it’s more like 16-17%

Missed the opportunity to move things around before the drop. Now just waiting for the drop to stop to move things around to catch the ride back up.

I did the opposite of what Cramer said. That is how to make money. Cramer is just like the Fed boys and legislators. Bought and paid for.

Cramer panicking is a good sign that we have a key reversal day in the market where there is lots of selling at the Monday opening where the weak hands like wrong way Cramer and Bill Ackman dump stocks liquidating their holdings at all costs and the market reverses and closes higher and the decline pauses and rallies the next day or two.
