"A Memphis repo-man was in the hospital Wednesday after being run over by a driver trying to escape the tow truck, the Memphis Police Department said."
The driver ran over the repo man's head.

If repo men were taking cars from Oprah Winfrey or Bill Gates, they would probably be helped by a crowd on their way to the car.
I suspect that more often than not, the one behind on the payments was sold a car they couldn't afford, and didn't have the sense to walk away from.
A friend of mine from childhood was having several difficulties in his life when the bank repo guy took his car a few days before Christmas. All his Christmas presents for his two young children were in the trunk.
I knew the bank president, and called him on the phone. As soon as he answered, I said, “Bah Humbug you Scrooge.” He asked what was wrong, and I explained the situation, saying that the negative publicity for the bank taking this car and children’s Christmas presents right before Christmas would cost the bank more than the value of the car.
He agreed, I gave him some money to get the loan current, and my friend got his car back that same day. The Grinch got a heart that day. (He also knew that the owner of the local radio station and the president of the local newspaper were friends and clients of mine so it would have been easy to get a tear jerker story out.)
Thankfully, that’s how small towns used to work. Not any more.
He could get a job as a speed bump if he’s unemployed
C’mon, man...you don’t spen’ you liquidity on no food. Ya needs cash fo’ vapes an’ beer an’ scratcu-its. You can put food on da EBT. Speakin’ of liquidity, wouldn’t dat be a good name fo’ a girl? Fix up da spellin’ a bit....LaQiditty
A former neighbor told me that a mutual friend’s dad, a repo man, once came in and asked a couple of his son’s high school friends “Who wants to make $20?” He just needed someone to carry the other end of a couch when they repo-ed it. They got to the house, and it was a local hot-head and his family was “just sitting down to dinner on the couch,” as he described it. Had to laugh. He told the guy “Never again.” I guess the same repo guy showed up drunk to repo something, and the people that had their stuff repo-ed called the cops. They stopped him on the road, and off to jail he went.
It used to be that American TV News would not show the viewer something like a man’s head being run over. The camera might break away or become a still shot at the last moment.
Now, apparently, the average viewer wants to see all of that detail.
Some News will even go further, and show someone within camera range, as they get killed.
It was just a few weeks ago, when some illegal chose a random woman sleeping on a subway, he threw some kind of fluid on her, then lit the lady on fire. The cameras showed the victim as she stood, immobilized by the pain, surrounded in leaping flames. That used to be called a Snuff Film.
That indeed was hard to watch. I guess the loss of his car has been added to by bigger problems, and deservedly so. I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t face attempted murder charges. He better hope that the guy survives.
Amazed it took 16 replies.
Rhodes College is having financial difficulties; I wouldn’t want my daughter going there. It’s too dangerous for naive youngsters.
People just explode. Happens all the time....
Yes, it was so sad, it broke my heart. My ex was a former Marine that absolutely feared nothing. The things he did as an investigator would have given me a heart attack...lol I learned a lot from him about being aware of your surroundings and how to make your house safe from spying folks. His number one rule...NEVER sit in any public place with your back to the door and always scope out an alternate escape route. We remained good friends even after our divorce.
Repo man got a new nickname now: Hardhead.
He's retired and could probably use the work.
Shame. Looks like it was once a nice school and area.
I’m curious, why ?
The movie “Repoman”
