American Women Are Giving Up on Marriage
The Wall Street Journal ^ | March 21, 2025 | Rachel Wolfe

After a handful of underwhelming relationships and dozens of disappointing first dates, Andrea Vorlicek recently called off the search for a husband.

The 29-year-old always thought she’d have found her life partner by now. Instead, she’s house hunting solo and considering having kids on her own.

“I’m financially self-sufficient enough to do these things myself,” said Vorlicek, a Boston-based accountant. “I’m willing to accept being single versus settling for someone who isn’t the right fit.”

She sees her plans for an independent future as making the best of a lousy situation. “I don’t want to sit here and say I’m 100% happy,” Vorlicek said. “But I feel happier just accepting my reality. It’s mentally and emotionally a sense of peace.”

American women have never been this resigned to staying single. They are responding to major demographic shifts, including huge and growing gender gaps in economic and educational attainment, political affiliation and beliefs about what a family should look like.

“The numbers aren’t netting out,” said Daniel Cox, director of the survey center at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), a conservative think tank. He ticked off the data points: More women than men are attending college, buying houses and focusing on their friendships and careers over dating and marriage.

A smaller, at least the native portion, society but more religious.

““I’m willing to accept being single versus settling for someone who isn’t the right fit.””

Fine. But DON’T bring kids in to your life choices. Kids aren’t fashion accessories.

Our population is going to shrink over the next two or three generations. But it'll sort itself out in the long term.

There are around 60 female to 40 male College graduates. Women want a degree, a career and THEN worry about having children. Sorry babe, your prime breeding years were wasted in meaningless sex, abortions and chasing the brass ring of success. You had it all backwards, first you find the love of your life, settle down and raise a family, when the strings are loosened up as kids mature, you go to school or figure out a job. You see, you CANNOT HAVE IT ALL, so choose.

You should take a look at the populations in the US that are growing.

We will be a very different country in 50 years. As will Europe.

Nonstop attacks by the Left.

And it will be 53 years ago in a few days. Keep an eye out for the celebration.

March 27, 1972

To the President and Congress of the United States:

I have the honor to transmit for your consideration the Final Report, containing the findings and recommendations, of the Commission on Population Growth and the American Future, pursuant to Sec. 8, PL 91-213.

After two years of concentrated effort, we have concluded that, in the long run, no substantial benefits will result from further growth of the Nation’s population, rather that the gradual stabilization of our population through voluntary means would contribute significantly to the Nation’s ability to solve its problems. We have looked for, and have not found, any convincing economic argument for continued population growth. The health of our country does not depend on it, nor does the vitality of business nor the welfare of the average person.

The recommendations offered by this Commission are directed towards increasing public knowledge of the causes and consequences of population change, facilitating and guiding the processes of population movement, maximizing information about human reproduction and its consequences for the family, and enabling individuals to avoid unwanted fertility.

To these ends we offer this report in the hope that our findings and recommendations will stimulate serious consideration of an issue that is of great consequence to present and future generations.

Respectfully submitted for the Commission,

John D. Rockefeller 3rd

Chairman

Let’s go back to the 2024 election. Women younger than 30 voted for Harris by 20 points over the corresponding men. Yet it’s the men’s fault.

You can add porn to that list. Young men today are distracting themselves into oblivion—wasting time, avoiding responsibility.

These gis were trained to be ambitious and to not want children.

They are doing as they were taught.

...

.

Boys were taught to want a wife and children and to partner. Most of the men I talk to cook and have enjoyed working with women to make lives together

LOL. More and more American men have given up on American women. The remedy to the unhinged, nutjob American woman is called a Passport. A great many American men realize this fact as a realistic option.

One of my best friends found her husband at age 45. Neither of them had been married before. They are meant for each other. I think it’s been about 20 years for them. They are a cute and loving couple.

You just never know when the right one will be there.

These women can’t attract men they perceive as high value because those caliber men are not interested in them. So they’d rather settle for no husband, casual dating app sex and/or a vibrator.

I see many men who are hard workers who have bought homes and toys.

They date sporadically and have found women to be fickle.

Maybe if they had wanted to be wives and mothers rather than independent life partners.
