Volodymyr Zelensky said he is “ready to come to the negotiation table as soon as possible” with Donald Trump to secure peace.
After Washington halted military aid for Ukraine, Mr Zelensky said it was “regrettable” what happened in their Oval Office meeting and told the US president that “it is time to make things right”.
“None of us wants an endless war. Ukraine is ready to come to the negotiating table as soon as possible to bring lasting peace closer. Nobody wants peace more than Ukrainians,” the Ukrainian leader said, praising Mr Trump’s “strong leadership”.

After Washington halted military aid for Ukraine, Mr Zelensky said it was “regrettable” what happened in their Oval Office meeting and told the US president that “it is time to make things right”.
“That didn’t take long!”
no it didn’t ... but is the guy trustworthy? ... his statements were parroted word-for-word from what the Trump administration said they had to hear ... and came ONLY after ALL U.S. military aid was abruptly halted ...
Z will be alone, Putin is busy and not interested in wasting time.
“Yesterday he was blabbering the war would go on for years”
Exactly. That’s when Trump paused weapon shipments to YouCrayne.
The Zeeper God, Zelensky still hasn’t got his attitude adjusted.
For the sake of humanity & the people of Ukraine (and Russia too) we should always keep the door open towards trying to have Peace. However, I think POTUS needs to set better boundaries with Z. If POTUS lets Z in the Oval Office again with the TV reporters/cameras then JD (ooops I mean Mr Vice President; gosh I’m so disrespectful) should gather the Cabinet and think about invoking the 25th Amendment if POTUS won’t agree that POTUS is the head of the US federal Executive branch, not some strongman named Z from Kyiv who canceled his last Election.
What ought to happen is for Z to meet with SecTreas and SecState & once Z has signed then the President comes in and signs the agreement in a room where Z is kept far awake from the microphone while the President signs & gives a speech to a small handful of selected Media that represents the most honest Media outlets in America.
One thing I think Z has done while soul-searching is realize that in his dealings with Trump that he has ZERO cards. Trump doesn’t really want anything from Z, except to see a stop to so much killing. When people rationally think about Trump’s position its shocking that any Americans could be against having the Meat Grinder stop killing the youth of Ukraine/Russia towards no realistic better outcome for either side than their worst case “Cease Fire Now” outcome.
“Yesterday he was blabbering the war would go on for years.”
exactly ... and he did a 180 ONLY after ALL U.S. weapons were abruptly cut off ... i wonder if they should STAY cut off to make sure this little toad doesn’t do ANOTHER 180?
He’s got New Guidance.
I’ll have to analyze the pattern. :)
I’m not so sure he completed all that Trump needs to hear. He said the minerals deal would be the START of security guarantees, as if he’s still expecting the US to offer troops in Ukraine.
We’ll see what Trump does, but I’m not sure Zelensky is yet where Trump needs him to be.
“Let him dangle.”
possibly even grovel and literally bend the knee and kiss the ring?
He probably had enough of dealing with the midget dressed in a Halloween costume.
Supposedly, the fiasco on Friday was the THIRD such episode where Zelensky tried to renegotiate the terms of an agreement at a meeting with his U.S. counterparts. And a prior meeting with Treasury Secretary Bessent was one of those three.
The door is much more open with Z gone. And we can make that happen.
The reality:
1. Ukraine can not win back lost territory without direct intervention by NATO. NATO could win if it went to an all out war footing.
2. Intervention by NATO will result in Russia using tactical nukes if they start losing, they have a lot and we do not.
3. Studies by think tanks both left and right, war gamed the scenario of the use of tactical nukes in Europe. Both came to the conclusion that tactical nukes would end up in thermonuclear intercontinental war. The losing side will use thermonuclear war first. The other side will respond in less than 30 minutes. Both would launch their land based missiles first as it is a use them or lose them scenario. Our submarine forces will also launch but not necessarily immediately. Russia, Western Europe and the USA would be destroyed. If China can stay out of it, they are the big winners.
4. Oddly starvation and disease would be the biggest killers as all modern nations critical infrastructure is easily destroyed. There are no winners in nations that resort to Nukes, both loose.
Trying to change what Trump says in his speech tonight isn’t going to help Hunter Biden’s Ukraine.
Poland wants all those Ukrainians in their country out, and soon
They have certainly borne a greater price than most other European countries. And they have a long history of being conquered and attacked. The borders of Poland have been changed more than anyone can count. They were also instrumental in ending the grip of the Soviet Union on eastern Europe. They have credibility, experience, and wisdom. Zelensky would be wise to listen to them.
“as if he’s still expecting the US to offer troops in Ukraine. We’ll see what Trump does, but I’m not sure Zelensky is yet where Trump needs him to be.”
i think you may be correct ... let’s see how things might move along by keeping the weapons moratorium a bit longer ...
What would be sweet would be that after he’s off the stage he still has enough stashed away to afford to show the wef demo-commies who ‘coached’ him into the corner he’s in how much he appreciates them. It would be Karma, writ large.
To little Z,
ESAD
Well too late. And if you do come back wear a G.D. suit.
