Our founding fathers built a system that would self correct. That was in a time that Thomas Jefferson wrote of spending 4 days just traveling to Washington from Monticello. But I doubt they could foresee a future with ICBMs that are controlled by the POTUS. That he/she might have to make a decision in minutes whether or not to use them that could literally end civilization.

However, we cannot paint with a wide brush, because there are American patriots within those states, but when blue gains control, they seem able to maintain that control.
That said, that control was maintained by the impression that the Democrats were the advocates for the common men & women of this nation. It was a convincing portrayal by them. That charade is beginning to be exposed as the sham it has been for many years now.
It may have been real at one point in time, but they have now tapped into the wealthy of this nation, which they now are their advocates. The common men & women have been relegated to the back of the bus, unless of course they have sexual deviancies that propel them to a higher status.
The little men & women have now been left behind by the Democrats.
A change is blowing in the wind, and the democrats have nowhere to run to now, which will only increase their panic & rage.
