Millions of Hindu devotees are bathing in sacred waters as the world’s biggest religious gathering begins in India’s northern state of Uttar Pradesh.
Over the next six weeks, a staggering 400 million people are expected to attend the Maha Kumbh Mela, or the festival of the Sacred Pitcher, on the riverbanks in the city of Prayagraj.

I’ve never been there, but I’ve seen pictures. It’s literally enough to turn one’s stomach. I won’t even try to describe it, it’s like peering into hell…
Good one. He was a great pitcher.
“You can literally sit on the banks and watch bodies float by.”
I saw half cremated bodies in the river in Kathmandu.
For most Indians I think it’s more cultural tradition than genuine religious belief.

You don’t hear much about the Hindus creating problems, unlike a certain other religion. Western nations would be better off with Hindu immigrants than those of the religion of genocidal fanatics.
Blind people would attend games just to hear Ryan’s fastball pop into the catcher’s mitt.
One of the many “religious” ways that millions believe, in grave error, in magic. Some Christians, Jewish and Muslims also have beliefs that are no different than believing in magic.
If you make it to age 20 there your immune system is extremely tough.
We have traveled India for ten weeks total in two trips. It is a VERY interesting place. Good, bad and ugly. You have it all intermingled. We hope to return.
I’m not saying it’s ALL ugly, just what I have seen of the Ganges. I’m sure there is much beauty there, the land itself, I’ve always been impressed by the beautiful architecture and artwork. I have not yet tried Indian food, but I certainly will in the future.I have never been there, I will never get to go there, but I’m sure it’s beautiful. I wish you wonderful return trips!🙂
Typhus epidemic in the making.
On average you could be correct. However. Their meat eating Pakistani cousins test LOWER on IQ than the Indians. So brain volume isnt IQ and isn’t solely dietary. It is IQ that drives socioeconomic outcomes, not brain size.
Also correct for the Indians’ lower body weight. I do believe though that the average Indian is so poor and his diet so lacking in animal products that health and brain size are absolutely affected

LOL
I’m pretty sure you are wrong about that. Hindus are attacking Christians for their faith in India.
400 million people are demonstrating that they are all going to hell.
That’s one third of the countries population! Somehow, I don’t believe the numbers....but am open to correction or an explanation of the estimates. Sounds like an efficient way to spread disease though.
They can peacefully watch as animal as human carcasses float serenely past them.
A cup from the Dead Sea will also kill you, but that’s just from minerals. I’d rather die of minerals.

I read recently in a outdoor living mag that the Dead Sea is now good for fishing!
Yes I’ve heard it is not safe to practice Christianity in India. But my only point is that Hindus don’t have a prophet and a book telling them to kill non-Hindus. Only Islam has that.
