The POTUS has the ultimate authority over everything and anything classified. Provided he is sworn in, it's game over for your theory.
Once sworn in, he technically could release every page of classified material that exists and deem it unclassified. He has the authority to do that.

I’m still of the opinion there is a reasonable chance that the left’s playbook will be to throw Trump an unexpected sentence on the 10th, and then Trump will either be a prisoner or a fugitive. Biden/Kamala will then use that as an excuse to cancel the inauguration. They would need to have the support of woke generals lined up behind-the-scenes, but is that so far-fetched?
It could happen. Leftist clowns will destroy any institution, make any bad precedent, or even humiliate themselves for the sake of a short-term political narrative

SCOTUS has ruled that POTUS has immunity for official duties. He is not obligated to follow the law regarding petty issues.
