To all my fellow Freepers who live in California,
Especially those in the Los Angeles area,
I'm monitoring the out-of-control fires that are raging in your area. My heart breaks for you all.
The scenes I am seeing look like a Biblical disaster. A small nuclear device would have done less damage. The entire LA area looks like it will be utterly destroyed.
I'm leaving out any discussion of fault, that is fodder for another thread. This thread is simply to wish you all well. Please remember, your life (and the life of those you love, including pets) is of paramount importance. Material goods, while important, are not as important as your safety.
As you can, please check in and let us know you are safe.
For those who have not yet understood how bad it is, please see this video, which is a shot someone took who was flying into LAX.

Yes, they make choices according to their own circumstances - about which you know nothing and are not qualified to judge.
I make judgements everyday and am held responsible for them
I make judgments every time I vote.
We all make judgements. And reap the consequences.
Maybe I just don’t have the energy to feel compassion for liberals anymore. It’s too exhausting.

Your thoughtfulness doesn’t seem to really extend to much except your politics.
My thoughtfulness ends when people make choices that directly effect me.

LORD, God of Heaven and Earth, we ask for a miracle to contain this fire.
We also ask that you protect the people caught in this fire zone and the firefighters working to try to contain it.
We pray for those who have lost their homes, that you would open doors for them to get new homes.
For those who have lost a loved one to this fire, we pray for comfort for them, you know how to comfort the grieving as you have grieved when your son was killed.
LORD let the folks there know that you see what is happening and bring glory to your name in this situation.

You have no compassion for the ones whose choices DIDN’T affect you?

Those who blame anyone on this thread or site for the sorry condition of California seem ignorant of the level of fraud and corruption we face here. Give us a couple of MAGA years, you’ll see an improvement!
