D.C. Cardinal: Mass Deportation of Illegals ‘Incompatible with Catholic Doctrine’
Breitbart ^

Posted on 01/07/2025 10:44:13 AM PST by Tench_Coxe

ROME — The newly appointed Catholic archbishop of Washington, DC, said Monday that President Trump’s plans for deporting illegal immigrants is “incompatible with Catholic doctrine.”

“At the same time,” he continued, “we are called always to have a sense of the dignity of every human person. And thus, plans which have been talked about at some levels of having a wider indiscriminate massive deportation across the country would be something that would be incompatible with Catholic doctrine.”

(snip)

The cardinal did not elaborate on which elements of Catholic doctrine he believes prohibit the deportation of migrants who enter a country illegally.

Arguendo, if "to have a sense of every human's dignity" is Catholic doctrine, then how does massive, humane
deportation of illegal invaders violate anyone's dignity?

Right on! Catholic Charities is run as a criminal enterprise.

They should get on board like Mexico and contract with the US government to assist with their removal.

There’s also the diseases that have been reintroduced to the US. Like lepersy. Countless jobs lost to illegals. Taxpayer money to supply healthcare, housing and food.

Remind me again, which city/state in Europe starts with a "V" and has a huge wall around it to prevent anyone from getting in?

Excellent verse in many ways!
And that’s what will happen if the current situation is not alleviated.

I think when the Constitution was adopted, some states restricted office-holding to Protestants. The prohibition of any religious test for office only applied to the federal government.

The only possible beneficiary of McElroy being transferred to Washington is the Diocese of San Diego...but Pope Francis will probably appoint someone just as bad as the new archbishop of San Diego.

Cardinal Robert McElroy needs to learn Catholic doctrine if he's going to open his mouth and spew that "massive indiscriminate deportation across the country would be something that would be incompatible with Catholic doctrine".

Christ Himself was born in a manger because Joseph had to travel to Bethlehem for the Roman census.

These illegal aliens can pick themselves up and return to their countries to report for their census, because they don't belong in ours.

D.C. Cardinal: Mass Deportation of Illegals ‘Incompatible with Catholic Doctrine’

The U.S. is not governed by "Catholic Doctrine" - thank God! Cardinal, my hope is that all U.S. dollars to NGOs like Catholic Charities end and that men like you choose to break our immigration laws and then find yourselves in prison. Your collar and red suit is not a get-out-of-jail card.

I don’t recall Scriptures telling us to just allow foreign invaders to swarm the land.

REMIND ME AGAIN HOW MANY INVADERS ARE BEING TAKEN CARE OF INSIDE THE VATICAN.

ALSO-—HOW MANY INVADERS DID THE CATHOLIC CHURCH ASSIST IN THEIR JOURNEY?

I AM GETTING OLD & I CANNOT REMEMBER——————

Well, it’s a Catholic Church, so it’s not exactly biblical. God called for borders. Heaven has borders.

with all due respect, the Cardinal really needs to stay in his lane and not meddle in state affairs; it’s not 1533 redux.

Scientology v RCC... same same. Sorry, but the Son of God doesn’t need men in between Father and humanity.
