It’s one thing to be a ‘contrarian’ when Democrats are running the show. It’s another to defy the popular leader of your own party. And defy Trump he did, time after time. (But in a good way, from the right, not from the left like Liz or Kinzinger.

This has been nothing more than self-aggrandizing B.S. Massie is 100% full of crap, and anyone who believes this is ignorant or delusional.
This is the guy who was in a position, as the deciding vote on the measure in the House Rules Committee, to unilaterally block the Biden-McCarthy deal in the spring of 2023 to suspend the debt ceiling through 2024.
And having made a career out of sanctimoniously whining about fiscal irresponsibility, and literally walking around with a stupid clock that tracks the federal debt to make his point, he had all the fortitude of a wet noodle and voted in favor of that Biden-McCarthy deal.
Massie is the most consistently small government member of the House. We need more like him.

Isn’t that rich. So Massie thinks Trump is indecisive, does not respect the Constitution, does not understand policy, does not put family first, and cannot lead by inspiring.
He also was for seating Joe Biden and resisted Republican efforts to contest the 2020 election steal.
He has some correct votes, but prefers to strut himself on stage.
Didn’t the Republican legislature strip him of the ability to appoint a replacement?

He’s been primaried in the past three elections and won handily each time.

He’s a maverick like John McCain. He’s a severe conservative like Mitt Romney. He is a warrior like Trey Gowdy. He is defending conservatism from Trump like Liz Cheney.
Getting bills passed in Congress is team sport.
You can fight alone and achieve nothing, or you can fight along with your team and at least get something better than what the other team would offer.
If you deny your own team its majority, then your team is forced to make a compromise deal with the other team, a worse deal than if you whole team had stuck together.
That’s what the Libertarian purists have been doing.

Thomas Massie is the ONLY one there I am consistently impressed with and proud of.
Massie keeps his promises, clarifies his arguments, and many, many times stands alone in the face of tyrants.
He calls out the enemies of our U.S citizens and our U.S. Constitution. He explains the bad bills and nominations which work against our success as a nation and individual, God-given, U.S. Constitutionally recognized rights.
Those who want him to ‘play ball’ and ‘keep quiet’ are as responsible for the uni-party ruination of our nation and world as Shumer, Pelosi, McConnell, the Cheneys, Obamas, Soros, etc.
We need a government FULL of Thomas Massies!
