When ‘non-dogmatic’ information becomes FREE & TRANSPARENT it becomes a threat to those who attempt to control the narrative and/or the stable.
When you are awake, you stand on the outside of the stable (‘group-think’ collective), and have ‘free thought’.
"Free thought" is a philosophical viewpoint which holds that positions regarding truth should be formed on the basis of logic, reason, and empiricism, rather than authority, tradition, revelation, or dogma.
When you are awake, you are able to clearly see.
The choice is yours, and yours alone.
Trust and put faith in yourself.

I’m not sure that the battery in the smart meter is all that significant. It’s pretty small, comparable to that of maybe an iPad. The meter retains comms and data while the power is off, and that is really all it’s there for.
At my house, since I have a fiber connection, the meter talks back with the utility and will inform them when my power is out before I can even find my phone to call it in. It sends in usage data so that no meter reader has to show up.
Now, in some cases, there are setups that can control appliances and water heaters, but I don’t have that and my utility doesn’t use it. More equipment would be necessary to allow the switching of the major appliance - can’t be done in the meter.
I don’t think the battery in the smart meter is a significant concern.
But, if the customer has a solar setup with storage batteries, then that can be an additional issue regarding fire. Those whole-house solar systems will store energy in a very large battery setup and it rivals or exceeds that of an electric vehicle. It has most likely, the same fire concerns as electric vehicles.

Fascinating! Hard to know if that was coincidence - probably not. For a long time I have wondered about the universality of the 'smile'; that must indicate something beyond post-Babel organized tongues. A smile is a powerful communication and can defuse the most difficult situations. I suppose the same could be said, in contrast, about the frown.

Not surprised. They tried to force smart meters here in my rural valley. So many residents refused, willing to pay some kind of extra fee, that the county ruled that people did not have to pay any extra (as the power company demanded) to not have smart meters.

Good point! gun rights are a right, not a privilege. It’s easy to get a concealed carry permit in OR. Should be transferrable or whatever the word is in other states. LIke marriage, if married in one state and you move, you don’t have to get married again!
