Fascinating! Hard to know if that was coincidence - probably not. For a long time I have wondered about the universality of the 'smile'; that must indicate something beyond post-Babel organized tongues. A smile is a powerful communication and can defuse the most difficult situations. I suppose the same could be said, in contrast, about the frown.
