Police have recovered a massive drone apparently abandoned in the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

A photo obtained by the New York Post shows an NYPD officer holding up the large aircraft, which appears to be more than five feet in diameter. Energy startup Amogy, Inc. said it manufactured the drone and had placed it on the sidewalk outside its headquarters a month before...

Amogy CEO Seonghoon Woo later confirmed to the Post that the drone belonged to the company and said it had been placed on the sidewalk after a company party about a month ago....

Given that drone attacks that defeated Israel's Iron Dome began about a month ago, and Americans have wondered for a month about our own drone sightings, who wants to bet there's more to Amogy's story than, we left it on the sidewalk, no clue how it got to the Navy Yard...?

“...and said it had been placed on the sidewalk after a company party about a month ago....”

“Yeah - that’s the ticket! A party!! Did I mention the open bar? It was a party. Just a bunch of wild and crazy guys.

Now, um, if you don’t mind I’ll just grab my drone. That I left at the party. On the sidewalk.”

Anonymous caller: Mr. Woo, remember that drone you left on the sidewalk?
Seonghoon Woo: Huh? I never left a drone on any sidewalk.

Anonymous caller: Mr. Woo, this is the CIA.
Seonghoon Woo: Oh, yes. That drone. Very careless of me.

If true, we have a link to New York and China.

"we left it on the sidewalk after cocktails and egg rolls"

Hard to believe someone said this with a straight face - does this have anything to do with the New Jersey (drones)?

Doubtful

It’s pretty suspicious, there’s no way a drone laid around unattended for a month especially in NYC.
And not near the Navy Yard.
Some Chinese government BS in there somewhere.

Depends on what it was made of. If it was obviously not metallic, the looters wouldn’t take it, and it could take months for the NYC trash crews to pick it up. If they ever did, since all these workers are unionized and picking up stray drones is probably not in the contract.

Five foot is a long way from “the size of a school bus”.

Five foot is a long way from “the size of a school bus”.

But it does more closely match the "It looks like it was 6 feet wide" descriptions. This isn't "Price is Right".

Massive

That comes no where near my understanding of "massive".

The Navy Yard is a name now. It hasnt been an actual Navy Yard for 6 decades. It’s now a collection of manufacturers, restaurants and bars. Other than a museum of the Navy Yard it has little connection with the Navy.
