Scientists at Kumamoto University have unveiled a novel compound, HPH-15, which has dual effects: reducing blood glucose levels and combating fat accumulation. This breakthrough represents a significant advancement in diabetes treatment innovation.
Type 2 diabetes, a condition affecting millions worldwide, is often accompanied by complications such as fatty liver and insulin resistance, posing challenges for current treatment methods. The research team, led by Visiting Associate Professor Hiroshi Tateishi and Professor Eiichi Araki, has identified HPH-15 as a promising alternative to existing medications like metformin.

As a side note.. I just found out sugar breaks down to fructose and glucose when exposed to an acidic environment.So.. drinking those " real sugar " colas are not any better for you than HFC!!
Genetics and race are strong factors but the most likely reason it is increasing is that those that are most susceptible, those with a family history, are developing it for lifestyle reasons.

There are lots of people quick to condemn and judge others for something they actually know little or noting about and expect them to do something they have never tried or experience. I hope nothing bad ever happens to them. I have a brother who was quick to be critical of our parents when they got old. I hope I live to see him in the same condition and struggling through every day.
No grains or sugar for us.
And, “diet” doesn’t mean cutting calories, etc. ... it means eating nourishing, and, healthy foods.

Whole grains high in fiber and protein need to be distinguished from products that use refined grains. E.g., white refined bleached flower (refined wheat) is metabolized differently from whole grain wheat products.

I need a diet to put 15 pounds back on. My weight has fallen from 175 to 145 in the past few months. No real explanation for the weight loss. Thankfully, only two polyps from last week’s colonoscopy. and blood sugar headed in the right direction.
For the elderly, underweight is far more dangerous than overweight.
Our idea of dessert is a protein bar except at Christmas. 😉

there is more to it then sugary foods.
You are suggesting the hard way; people want a quick and easy solution a quick fix with a pill for everything what ails you.
