When you look at the breadth of President-elect Donald Trump’s victory, it’s impossible to pin Democratic losses on just one or two things. This is not a situation where the outcome would have been different if President Biden had done X or Vice President Kamala Harris had done Y.
In fact, had both Biden and Harris done everything “right,” Trump likely still would have won. The culprit for the Democratic Party’s sweeping losses is bigger than any one particular candidate.
In 2016, I left the Republican Party and became a Democrat. In many ways, I feel as if the GOP left me rather than the other way around.
But over the eight years since, I’ve often observed that Democrats approach elections — and communicating with voters — through a lens of how they think the world should be, rather than meeting them in the world as it actually is.

I call him Gavin Gruesome.
Moderates should stop trying to help Democrats. Their sane wing is much too small and the extremist wing won’t listen anyway.
They CANNOT relate to the electorate, because the leftists need to conceal their true agenda, not reveal it to the voters. The goal of the leftists is to deceive the electorate, until they are in power, and THEN they impose measures that the voters would NEVER choose.
The only option the leftists have is to deceive, to conseal, to LIE. Not to relate.
This is like Nazis saying “Maybe if we took off the swastika armbands, people could identify more with us”.
More wisdom from The Hillofbullshit?
STUPID headline. The Dems aren’t right about anything.
It’s an illness no cure found yet.
If I had to choose one word that defines the lack of Democrat elective success lately and losing a part of their “normal person” base, that one word would be “scold”. Everyone, and I mean everyone, hates a scold. Folks are tired of it. Their speeches are one big scold enveloping their false outrage. This disaffection is spreading to their scold media allies. The entire complex sucks
They are neither relatable nor right.
If the writer thinks either is true, he needs a second bulb.
They were NEVER right
Well, I’m almost every category they are wrong. So…
“the author means they need to be better liars.”
Exactly.
They need to test out their lies on focus groups before spouting them.
Lol.
Oh, really? Please relate your core principles upon which the GOP changed. Better yet, relate the Democrat/Communist core
principles that evolved to match your principles.
