Democrats have a ‘smug’ problem
The Hill ^ | 11/14/24 | Steve Krakauer

The day after the election, an NBC News chart circulated on Instagram highlighting exit poll data showing that, roughly, the more education you had, the more likely you were to vote for Vice President Kamala Harris over President-elect Donald Trump. Some liberals used the occasion to look down upon the icky dummies who were too stupid to know they shouldn’t vote for Trump.

Yet Trump’s victory was both definitive and diverse. He won broad swaths of the electorate, making significant gains in New York and California and winning over larger percentages of Latino voters and young voters than in 2020. He also won a majority of first-time voters.

Yes, Trump was able to capture a bigger percentage of the voters who didn’t go to college — from 54 percent in 2020 to 63 percent in 2024, according to those exit polls (which are often revised after the election). In fact, according to an analysis from the Financial Times, the 2024 election represented the first since 1960 that Democrats performed better with the richest Americans than with the poorest Americans. That said, Trump also performed slightly better than previously with voters with an associate’s degree and those with advanced degrees.

It's not education at our colleges but indoctrination.

The self-educated are the smartest ones.

She’s spoiled and high maintenance. I think even Jane knows she would not get all the Hollywood frills and bows of devotion in any other country or setting.
Might as well stay put, and complain in the comfort of her
$5.5 Million dollar mansion-hide a way in LA.

Education is about knowledge.

No, it's not. The truly most educated people are auto-didactic: the developed skill sets for lifelong learning on one's own.

“..Educated? No, Indoctrinated....”

^THIS^ is truth.
There are plenty of well-ecuated people, many of em that went thru STEM curriculums and actually graduated with a useful degree, that gladly and with earnest, voted for President Trump.
These woke communist basstids think they’re smarter and brigher than anyone else. They think they’re “a gift” to the human race because they managed to obtain some kind of degree in advanced basket weaving, etc. They will use coercion of any type or kind to force their mononic, evil thoughts and agenda onto everyone. The reality is: they’re AINOs, American In Name Only, and dumber than a box of rocks.
In my old age, I avoid these godless, communist morons as much as I can. They can their “smugness” and pack it in good and tight where the sun doesn’t shine. They would be doing the USA, indeed, the entire world, a BIG favor if they’d just go ESAD.

Just goes to show all the money people shell out for an education doesn’t necessarily make them intelligent.

These days the more college you have the stupider you are. It destroys common sense.

"Wise to do evil".

"The wisdom of this world is foolishness to God" (1 Corinthians 3:19)

I guess the term is somewhat relative.

That's quite the promotion from county sheriff to head of the DEA. Good for him. I hope he is cut from the same cloth as Sheriff Arpaio.

Wiki --> "Hillsborough County is located in the west-central portion of the U.S. state of Florida. In the 2020 census, the population was 1.5 million making it the fourth-most populous county in Florida. It is the most populous county outside the Miami metropolitan area."

Sheriff Chronister

Off topic, but here's a nice heartwarming story from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office posted five hours ago on their Facebook page:

🍁𝙂𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙉𝙚𝙬𝙨 𝙎𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙖𝙮🍁
Thanks to the kindness of Master Deputy Gutierrez, a family was able to enjoy their Thanksgiving dinner after an unexpected hardship. When a woman lost all her Thanksgiving groceries in a car fire, Master Deputy Gutierrez stepped in to help. With the support of community partners, he ensured she had everything needed for the holiday meal.

Thank you, Master Deputy Gutierrez, for going above and beyond to help our community.

Democrats have a communist problem.

No matter what you do or what you say you can’t sell communism to those who have or are suffering under it.

There is a dark red cloud over America at the moment with a great wind building to the west.

Hurricane west wind hits Jan 20.

I didn’t know Jane and Bobby de filmed a movie together.
That poster shot looks like 1990’s level Photoshopping
on a Macintosh.
Jane does not look like she’s sitting on that metal crossbar.
Her bottom would be dipped down a lot more.
They look as though sunlit from opposing angles.

I think it was Mark Twain that said something to the effect that he never let formal schooling get in the way of his education. When I earned my degrees, I considered them a gateway for more learning. I took a year of Latin at age 70!

Wisdom and intelligence has nothing to do with education. Education is about knowledge. It's what you do with knowledge that matters, and that is not taught in schools and universities.

Well said! Yesterday, I celebrated the 40th anniversary of the end of my undistinguished military career: 8+ years, Air Defense Artillery officer, 4+ years in Germany, 4+ years at Fort Bliss. I'll never forget the heroes I served with.

My education was jump started by the Platoon Sergeants I worked with, all of whom had at least one tour in Vietnam. Flunking my first ARTEP was a fantastic learning experience, I learned what I could get away with during an evaluation.

All told, I was over the hump at about 4 months. From that point on, I was able to apply that education. As a leader, I took personal responsibility for everything my unit did, or FAILED TO DO. IOW, since my neck was on the line, my attitude was just stay out of the way, and let me do my job. I clashed with staff pukes and micro managers, it was an occupational hazard, manifesting itself in lousy efficiency reports from superiors that stymied my leadership.

Fortunately, I worked for several officers who expected independence and imagination from their officers.

One thing I've noticed from the aftermath of the past election is none of the Democrats taking responsibility for their defeat. That indicates a gargantuan dearth of leaders within the Democrat Party. That also applies to RINOs in DC, too. Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, I'm speaking directly to you.
