High-protein breakfast foods often seem like a smart, nutritious choice to jumpstart our day. They're hailed as morning heroes, offering sustained energy and keeping you full until your next meal. From protein shakes to egg white omelets, there are a variety of options that make it easy to add more protein to your mornings. But despite all their benefits, some high-protein breakfast foods can have hidden pitfalls that may compromise our weight loss efforts.
Many high-protein foods that seem healthy often hide ingredients like added sugars, unhealthy fats, or fillers that can undermine their benefits and stall weight loss progress. To stay on track, it's essential to know what's in your morning meal so your high-protein breakfasts can truly support your health goals.

Easy, don’t eat breakfast. I usually skip it.
If that breakfast works for you, more power to you. The article is about trying to consume a nutrient dense, energy sparse breakfast. Your breakfast is the opposite, energy dense little to nutrient low.If it’s working for you, keep doing it.
I’ve learned that it takes serious protection like you are talking about. I was always laxidasical about it until it finally sunk in that it will be fine, until it’s not fine. And then they are gone.
“Hope” is not a good security measure.
I now shut them into the coop every night and we’re building a new one with a concrete floor
These days, anything spicy is off limits. That includes any tomato paste/sauce type of meal, spaghetti and tacos for instance. They are now gone from my diet. I also can't consume beef products, so items like hamburgers and meatloaf are out. My diet is very bland, very simple in nature. Gosh, even eggs upset me for the longest time but thankfully I can eat that now.
So I very rarely go out and eat. Of course the costs of eating out have a lot to do with that now too. But I can't handle foods that I once could. It sucks, but that is life.
Bacon and eggs here.
Chickens are the most useful critter ever, IMHO.
I used to raise hens for egg sales big time - 50 hens at a time, so I made good use of all that waste.
Now, we have a mule and I attribute my gardening success to his composted manure. ;)
For breakfast, I generally have scrambled eggs mixed with a little bit of mayonnaise, turkey sausage, and a little bit of cheese. Fills me up and I feel quite good afterwards.
I stopped buying flavored yogurt of any kind. Plain, full-fat with a drizzle of jam on top, or berries (we harvest wild Blackcap Raspberries and freeze them) is much healthier than anything low-fat or no sugar, but chemicals added. :)
I buy mainly salmon at Aldi. No issues so far.
Wait...WHAT?
PROCESSED GARBAGE IS BAD FOR US?
who knew!?!
Me too....Aldi salmon is usually out of Chile....even being farm raised I’m good with that
I eat whole milk vanilla yogurt, Mayfield’s vanilla ice cream, cottage cheese, meat & bean burritos from Walmart, Italian meat balls and whole wheat spaghetti, pizza bought frozen, drink only whole milk. 1 egg every day with breakfast. Either seedy bread or sprouted wheat bread. Cheap Vegetable oil for cooking.
My fruits mostly red grapes, strawberry’s, naval oranges & banana, dried prunes & apricots, raw walnuts and almonds. .
My veggies most of the time are iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, Roma tomatoes, mushrooms, green peppers, onions and Serrano peppers.
Drink regular cola with high fructose junk.
I weigh same as age 25, 150 lbs, 5’-8”
Never had heart attacks, no strokes, no kidney or liver issues, zero medical bills, no joint pains, no colds or flu,
Covid lasted day and half in my body without any medications (had 3 jabs in 2021).
Life is good at age 84 with daily 20 minute brisk walk.
I do not want to eat or drink any stuff I don’t like. Life is short and I want to enjoy it every day, eating and drinking what I like, not eating stuff which I don’t like.
I expect to live about 1 more year.
If processed stuff was bad, why am I eating it every day and still alive at age 84 without any health issues?
I am guessing my daily mild exercise is the reason.
Because you’re a superhero?
Not really. I had several health issues in my mid-50’s.
Scariest of all was irregular heart beats and chest pains after eating a good meal of steak.
Overall your diet doesn't sound that "bad".
As far as weight, well..... some of us are more lucky than others simply because of genetics. I know some people who are super skinny (always have been) and have had nearly no health problems - yet they regularly eat candy, and all kinds of sweet stuff and carbs that I really have to ration. And they rarely exercise. Wish I was one of those people, lol. Although I do like to exercise.
