Will Trump finally end the socialist scourge in America?
American Thinker ^ | 19 Nov, 2024 | Catherine Sprague

I believe that Trump is trying to defeat socialism forever (see my essays here and here). It’s an important idea that deserves more scrutiny. Trump wants to fix American systems so that wokeness and left-wing progressivism will go away and never come back.

“Tosh!” people say. “Socialism always comes back,” and that’s certainly a real risk.

It is true that Trump holds a unique pull and, therefore, can draw many to vote Republican, but one day, he’ll be gone, leaving many Americans vulnerable to the mainstream media. While MSNBC has lost much credibility, as evidenced by its recent viewership loss, other news outlets controlled by the left, including NBC, CNN, and the New York Times, still have faithful followings.

Nor can we forget the 73,680,469 who voted for Kamala Harris. I know moderates who voted for Kamala who were willing to ignore her radical history even though her presidency would be entirely inimical to their interests. The young, our future, are still being indoctrinated at universities. These individuals remain influencers of their neighbors and friends. If this persists unchecked, then yes, socialism will come back.

But again, that’s not inevitable. For example, slavery didn’t come back.

SNIP

Conservatives have long suspected that our government has engaged in criminal activity at home and abroad. Recently, these suspected crimes have advanced Democrat policies and administrations.

If conservatives are correct and this knowledge ever becomes public, say in the form of formal charges, it would be a game changer. Everyone assumes this is impossible, but I would argue that that’s precisely why it is possible. No one would be prepared for Trump to act by exposing this information—although it’s rumored that members of the Deep State are already lawyering up.

Abolish the Dept. of Education and close the public schools and in a century we’ll see...some progress, maybe.

Yep, marxist indoctrination needs to stop on day 1.

Which reminds me of a supposed quote from Winston Churchill I heard years ago:

The definition of capitalism: The unequal distribution of wealth.

The definition of socialism: The equal distribution of misery.

The definition of communism: Socialism with a gun pointed at your head.

Almost all of that is now down at the state\county level. Worst offenders are the teacher education\training done at the college\university level. Just getting rid of Dept Ed will have little effect. The stupidity has metastasized and moved throughout the educrat establishment from state\county superintendent to school administration\principals down to bright eyed bushy tailed new teachers.

Agreed, but I suspect the bully pulpit can accomplish some significant reform as well as using funding and tax policy to influence direction.

Well Biden just started WW3 this morning he may never assume power.

There is no legal means by which Biden and his current admin can stay in the WH once his term expires. They may pull something out of their back pocket but that will be effectively defeated.

You don’t defeat Socialists at the ballot box. The only solution to Socialists is the “final” solution....and rooting them out of the Education system.

Americans don’t have the stomach for it.

Well they can I “think” by declaring a National Emergency, declare Martial law.

Martial law is the temporary replacement of civilian government by military rule in a time of crisis. When martial law is declared, the military assumes executive, legislative, and judicial powers, and can:
Suspend civil liberties, such as freedom of speech, freedom of movement, and protection from unreasonable searches
Implement curfews
Arrest people for violating curfews or offenses at military discretion
Suspend the writ of habeas corpus, which prevents unlawful detention
Charge people with crimes for actions that would not normally be illegal
Impose media blackouts
Commandeer businesses
Prohibit certain sales, like alcohol
Control hospitals and emergency facilities
Regulate wages and working conditions
Require mandatory fingerprinting and identification of civilians

That could be one of the arguments "they" make.

However, the military itself is a product of the Constitution as is the appointment of its Commander in Chief. It is clear the president or his legitimate successor would continue as commander.

You forget most of the Officer core are Obama picks so they could line up behind Harris or Biden.

Not at all.

Recommend you focus on Biden and Harris no longer being relevant after their last day in office and that date is now unchangeable.
