Donald Trump has largely avoided interviews where he will be fact-checked in real time. But on Sunday, he sat for an interview on Fox News, where he was challenged directly on some of his most glaring falsehoods of the campaign.
The exchanges that resulted provided a case study in the tactics the former president uses when confronted with facts that contradict his statements.
Mr. Trump repeatedly denied knowledge of information that has long been publicly available, questioned the sources and then pivoted away to an unrelated topic.
On one point, though, he stuck by his words with no deflection or equivocation: He absolutely believed, he said, that his political opponents were an “enemy from within” who posed a greater threat than foreign adversaries.
Here’s a look at notable moments in Mr. Trump’s interview with Fox News’s Howard Kurtz:
‘I have not heard that at all’
Mr. Kurtz questioned Mr. Trump’s recent description of Jan. 6 — when his supporters stormed the Capitol in a failed attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election — as a “day of love,” and asked whether the former president understood why Americans saw it as a dark day. Mr. Trump didn’t back down from the description, and when Mr. Kurtz pushed back — noting that hundreds of people had pleaded guilty or been convicted, and that many were charged with assaulting police officers — Mr. Trump immediately deflected to another topic. He then claimed that nobody was killed on Jan. 6 and that “nobody had guns here either.”
Several people died as a result of the riot at the Capitol, and Mr. Kurtz pointed out that some of the rioters were armed. In his response, Mr. Trump professed ignorance, though that fact...

TWO of the people walking peacefully thru the Capitol had guns, both concealed. One was detected as he peacefully left and the other admitted, days later, that he had carried on concealed as he walked around the Capitol.
Period. No protester pulled a gun out. Not one! But the cops killed...and walked away scot-free!
Yes, but their readers believe every word.
The only reason that Americans supposedly saw it as a “dark day” is the because of the false media narrative.
You can’t get a valid opinion when the public is given false information by the media.
These plea deals are forced on defenseless defendants that are pummeled with trumped up charges, witness intimidation, and evidence tampering. All they get is a bogus public defender who works for the government. No wonder DOJ has a 95% conviction rate. The conviction rate is not evidence of guilt; it’s evidence of the DOJ’s fraud and political persecution.
Even if you "win," it will cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars in attorney fees and court costs that you can't get back. Only the feral government and democidal billionaire psychopaths have pockets that deep.
Friend of Timpon.
You sound like a complete fool who is supporting Kumila.
Says an anonymous voice on the Interwebs, without evidence.
Look, the audience is too smart to hear about J6 people pleading guilty. When limitless money pins you against the wall, you will plead guilty to anything. This is a common Nazi tactic.
they spoon

He is the former media writer for The Washington Post and the former Washington bureau chief for The Daily Beast. He has written five books about the media. Kurtz left CNN and joined Fox News in 2013.
Another liberal brought in to help redefine Faux News.
Here is my review of the biased Kurtz interview with President Trump from this morning.

The NYT is just a sad shell of its former self when it was respected for its journalism. Now, it’s just a Leftist/Democrat rag that has outlived its usefulness.
In fact, as far as I understand, no Democrat died as a result of the assault. Perhaps they swore in their pants, but that’s it. However, there were casualties on the Republican side and none of them were armed.
