When confronted by hostile members of the liberal media, J.D. Vance has demonstrated an almost otherwordly ability to keep his cool and make his case cogently.
Witness Vance's performance on ABC's This Week. Host Martha Raddatz was attacking Trump, and by extension Vance, over statements Trump had made about apartment complexes in Aurora, Colorado being invaded by violent migrant gangs.
As Vance began to reply, Raddatz tried to cut him off, saying "I'm going to stop you. The incidents were limited to a handful of apartment complexes."
Bad move, Martha!
Retorted Vance:
"Martha -- do you hear yourself? Only a 'handful' of apartment complexes in America were taken over by Venezuelan gangs, and Donald Trump is the problem, and not Kamala Harris' open border? . . . You seem to be more focused with nitpicking everything that Donald Trump has said, rather than acknowledging that apartment complexes in the United States of America are being taken over by violent gangs."

I just started reading Vance’s book, “Hillbilly Elegy.” So far so good.
They’re being pedantic about whether the Venezuelan gangs have “taken over” Aurora, and are also only acknowledging certain crimes that happened to have occurred within the Aurora city limits. They are completely ignoring a much wider array of crimes committed by these gangs that happened to have occurred in various other, but adjoining, jurisdictions. Of course, when it comes to personal safety, it matters little where specifically certain crimes occurred, but only that extremely violent foreign gangs are roaming the metro area in general.
This Venezuelan gang in the Denver area has so far: Taken over multiple apartment complexes, murdered several people, committed a number of home invasions by impersonating utility workers, committed two very violent jewelry store robberies, organized a large auto theft ring, recruited young children to smash stolen vehicles into local gun stores in an attempt to steal weapons to better equip the gang, and publicly greenlit gang members to kill Denver-area police officers.
Sounds like a “takeover” to me, but the dems are trying to plant the idea that unless there’s a gang member in front of every house in the area, then Trump is “lying” about a takeover. Absurd.
What a ridiculous and embarrassing thing to say. "Only a few" apartment complexes have been taken over by foreign gangs.

Holy phuque - that was fun to watch. But Raddatz seems ready to accept a little violent crime as long as the victims are the little people, preferably Rs. An while commenting on a person’s looks is not productive, I must say Raddatz is the stereotypical leftist cat woman - bitter, shrill, and fugly enough to make the Silver Streak jump the rails.
