When Obama, Schumer, and Pelosi brandished their political knives in to force Biden out of the race, it was their plan to anoint a successor by way of negotiation among the establishment. They would have avoided any populist disruption by primary support for a hard-lined leftist like Bernie and could have nominated a moderate with some crossover appeal.

I agree, Harris is revenge on Pelosi and Obama who stabbed Joe in the back. Joe & Jill working to shaft the powers that turned on him. Before he leaves office he will toss a few monkey wrenches in the soup. He knows Harris is not up to the job and will fall flat on her face and bring down the whole house of cards on the Obama/Pelosi wing of the Party. He wants Trump to win—A deal has been struck in a back room. The fun will start in the next three weeks.
If Biden and the DNC really wanted to push Kama away, they would have had Biden leave office back in April and let Willie’s Ho act like a president.
The complete failure of that would lead to a Trump landslide.

They want to save the Congress. They need people to get out and vote. Even if they vote Trump they may split the ballot with Kamala many won’t bother voting at all.
The big question is, does Harris and the cabinet attempt a palace coup post election and try to 25th amendment Biden in late November?
I don’t think it’s a overtyly planned influenced thing. I think it’s more of an ego-driven (by him and/or Doktor Jill) thing that they don’t want Joe to be forgotten although the entire world and country has pretty much relegated itself that the WHITE HOUSE is occupied by a sometimes-walking-mostly-sleeping corpse.
Forward-that’s smart. I can’t picture Joe putting the country first like RFK Jr. Kennedy had a problem with censorship. Joe doesn’t. I f we were to be so fortunate Jill should be the ‘bad guy’-more direct.
They'd prefer to win president/House/Senate BUT they also would relish pushing more distruction on America, while opposing Trump at every turn.
Democrats' central creed is covetousness. I recall Bill Clinton being called out for doing things that sabotaged his own wife when she was running for president.
