England is going up in flames and then there’s this: “Berkshire Reptile Rescue in England is caring for a toad”
Glad they are taking care of toads instead of deporting the human invaders.

You’re right! My 3rd Grade Science teacher, Mrs.Brand, would be tsk tsking me for not spotting that error sooner.
That actually looks like some kind of Tree Frog who has faded in color, due to no sun exposure.
To: Red Badger
Wouldn’t that be a frog? Look at the feet...

Could be a Haitian salad.

I’d damn near rather find a little toad in my grocery-store bagged salad than the lettuce-stump I once found. It was one of those convenience-store salad plates. They hid the stump under some nice-looking lettuce leaves.

The Mahometans consider amphibians haram due to their ability to live on/in both land and water.

They would have just dipped that baby in some "Toad Sweat Sauce", and, down the hatch!
To: Bikkuri
It has parotid glands. Probably a toad. Definitely not a “ true frog.” (Ranid)

That heir would be the other kind of Frog, as in French.

Several years ago, I was having lunch at Quizno’s with my sister and mother.
Suddenly a cricket hopped out of my sister’s salad.
The staff captured the cricket and let it go outside.
No charge for a new salad!

How do they know the customer didn’t find a toad somewhere and put it in the salad and lie about it just to instigate a lawsuit?
Nowhere in this article does it refer to this toad as a reptile. It just says he was picked up by a reptile rescue group. Maybe their primary focus was reptiles, but cared for it if there wasn’t such a thing around as an amphibian rescue group.
