Assuming an initial body weight of 220, this is over 1000 cal per day deficit under BMR. That’s a bunch. While the result is impressive, what happens next?
Percent of muscle mass / fat?
One notices "...developed by the Danish pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk." That company's other drug which sells so well through aggressive marketing in the US is banned from sale in the EU, as dangerous to health.
Here's a novel idea. Buy no over-processed, sugar stuffed foods. Eat fresh and buy local produce. Stay active and stay away from corporate seductions for "weight loss."
I have lost 70 pounds in 2 years by eating less. I now get full on half the food I used to eat. Didn’t really cut out anything, just less at each meal. I just ate slower and quit when I felt full.
IIRC, when the body runs out of fat to convert to energy, it starts converting muscle mass.................
Have you or a loved one been harmed or possibly died as result of using the weight loss medication Amycretin? Then you could be eligible for a massive settlement. Just call Dewey, Cheatum and How

Warning: language.
You don’t lose weight to get healthy. You get healthy to lose weight.
Good on you!
Fast weight loss results in sagging skin ... and sagging skin cannot be unsagged.
Market Ticker is always a must read. As for language? Don’t throw the baby out with the bath water...if you’re easily offended, stay off the internet.
Wegovy (another weight loss drug) states plainly that after the weight loss, if the patient discontinues the drug, the weight comes right back. So, you’re on it for life (however short that may be).
No kidding. I was just about to post how scary this latest one sounds....like the other ones.
Non-stop ads, on any tv program.
Just eat right (as you say, good, clean foods...no processed foods, we also cut out grains) and exercise/keep moving!
There is that possibility.
Excellent. You’ve done by natural means what others feel they need drugs for in order to do.
It seems, from what little is in this news report, that the drug targets the appetite sensation, so that the users aren’t as hungry, so that IF THEY WANT TO EAT LESS AND DO SO, they can take in fewer calories to aid their overall weight loss plan. They still could CHOOSE to eat and overeat and not exercise, etc., unless they have some uncontrollable urges forcing them to eat eat eat.
Maybe they need to combine an anti-OCD drug with this new class of drugs, and an anti-depressant, and a stimulant, oh, and more drugs to counter the side-effects of those drugs and their side-effects. Yes, that’s the ticket.
Hmmmm, I need to speak to my stock broker.
