It's not that she couldn't answer it, it's more like she refused to answer it, and mixed the refusal in with the rest of the word salad.

And future Republican candidates will still go on ABC to ‘debate’. Nothing will change.

Apparently, ABC did a series of “mock” debates with several questions.
My guess is that, while ABC claims that they did not give out topics or questions in advance, they invited a member or members of her team to watch the prep debates to see what questions they were going to ask. “See, we didn’t give them to them”
ABC? Naw, they wouldn’t do that. /s
I wish Trump had said something like this: Please look at the American people and tell them that they’re better off than they were four years ago. Then tell them why on day one you’re going to fix it.

No repercussions for Trump taking a bullet or for those deaths in Afghanistan. See a pattern?
Well I’m hoping this is all true, and provable, but expecting nothing. Were it to be true, I think it would win Trump the election, if he wasn’t going to win it anyway. We’ve been screaming ‘cheating’ for 4 years, all the while the other side laughs at us, and calls us liars.
To catch them red-handed and have the receipts? It would be glorious. People in the middle who hate both sides would look at that and say, ‘well, maybe there’s something to Trump’s complaints, because that’s cheating’.
who cares? Trump should have been able to clearly and obviously clean her clock, ‘questions in advance’ or no. this is another distraction.

She saw the question when they gave it to her, but she had no idea how to answer that. So, she just skipped it.
