The 1970s represent an emblematic decade characterized by significant changes and innovations. However, in everyday life of that era there are elements that have disappeared over time.
Check out a list of some things from the 70s that disappeared and immersed in the retro charm of recent history:

Instant photos: The Polaroid, the iconic camera of the 1970s, continues to inspire instant photography enthusiasts. Thanks to modern smartphones and digital cameras, you can now achieve similar effects conveniently and instantly.

The Desiderata.
I prefer Deteriorata (Take heart in the deepening gloom, that your dog is finally getting enough cheese!)
Puka shell necklaces.
My homeschooled grandchildren still use encyclopedias.
Pre 1955. My daughter makes the kids use them for accurate research.
Telephone operators are obsolete.
Post cards are still used. A lot. I deliver mail.
Drive in are still around. We have on in Vermont.
As I recall, Jarts had a round tip not the sharp point in this illustration. There's a bit of subtle dishonesty going on.
They lasted till the 80’s

I am old and of the sixties generation, now I am 76 years of age. I have used all of the above devices and the new modern replacements for such. I miss none with the exception of the drive in movies. The drive in movies had a very great beneficial character or perhaps not. They should have been known as “Carnal Knowledge,” or attempts at such. LOL.
It “aint easy” being an old man that grew up in the sixties. We know far more than these idiots today. Their lack of knowledge and history will bite them in the ass.
Pre 1955?
I guess so. If you’re doing history. But I wonder how much data in an encyclopedia was copied over to Wikipedia.
One thing I miss from the 70s is my family’s vacuum cleaner. It had a self retracting Cord. You gave it a little tug, and the machine slurped the whole cord right up. This feature was probably discontinued on vacuum cleaners after somebody got injured from the flying cord.
Heathkits.
My dad spent 2 years building our Heathkit television.
Yugoslavia, Czechoslovakia, the Republic of Vietnam, the French Territory of the Afars and Issas (FTAI), the People’s Democratic Republic of Yemen and the German Democratic Republic.
Led Zeppelin.....sadly
Rhodesia.
Yep ... the “Consumer Product Safety Commission”, and the mentality that supports such an entity, is part of what’s wrong with America.
Phone Booths....Where you learned who was cheating on their wives in Town. lol
Upper Volta.
Zaire, Upper Volta, Dahomey
We have a new one coming to our area. That was sooooo fun.
The Soviet Union!
GI Joe with Kung Fu Grip.
