We liked to have one of each when the grill was involved.
I usually have one of each. Dog with chilli and burger with just mustard and ketchup.
Lots obvious here.
Basics?
You control what your “hamburger” is made of.
You eat whatever is in the “hot dog”.
If you donβt know where the meat is from and there are no bones, chances are youβre eating lab grown cancer cells. You are what you eat!
I’ve had a number of UC nutritional experts tell me to not eat hotdogs because one really doesn’t know what meat by products are in them. So now I only eat one per sitting instead of two.
I get the entertaining question, but from a nutritional & health standpoint the article is moronic, for obvious reasons.
I will have a hamburger or some hot dogs maybe once a month. All things in moderation, and that’s how I eat what I please. That has worked for me. I am 67, my bloodwork and blood pressure are good, and I take no medications.
Since you probably pay about $30 a pound for the actual muscle meat content in your Hot Dog I would rather have it in the form of steak.
There is a range of quality in each. A good burger or hot dog beats a poor one of the opposite. Beyond the meat and toppings the bun can make or break the serving.
God please STFU. When the choice is burger or dog, you get the one you -want- at the moment. That’s it....
Who in the world puts ketchup on their hotdog?! Mustard, relish and onions are the only things I put on a regular hotdog. On a chili dog I only add shredded cheese and onions. But ketchup?! Never!!!
The only correct answer is both
I grilled burgers tonight. I had two, with buns, with a little salt, mustard, ketchup, and onions.
Beef burgers are healthy (maybe just eat half the bun and skip any sauces).
Dogs are loaded with what you do not want in you or anyone you like.
Not a mystery.
They’re speculating and trusting you’ll be gullible enough to buy it so they can make some money.
There’s absolutely no proof either is bad for you.
Ketchup?
On a hot dog?
Disgusting. Mustard is the only suitable condiment for a hot dog.
I avoid eating either one from some vendor. Make my own or bring power bars.
If theyβre on the grill, one of each will do.
The comparison begins with assumptions of about what is them. Since I use 93% lean hamburger that could throw things off.
Oh, and I put a couple pieces of cheddar cheese in there just to hold things together.
